Exhaust Bolts

Is it a dumb idea to Loctite the header bolts? I'm kinda thinkin it is, or I wouldn't ask  Does anyone else have a problem with keeping those little buggers tight? Any solutions? I tightened them up, rode her for about 50 miles, and I can hear it start to leak again.

It's a process. Tighten/torque to 7 lbs. and ride, get em hot. Re-torque. Do this several times until no additional torque is required, should be fine.

Be patient Grasshopper, torque, ride, torque, ride, torque, ride, torque, ride, should be good to go now.

They have a squash gasket ring that you can not squish on the 1st few attempts.........

I have done it both ways.    Hot ya can get burnt.

I think better when cools and safer.
