Exhaust studs

Pulled my exhaust today and removed the oem copper gaskets. Surprisingly it was very easy. Acorn nuts took hardly any pressure to turn. Although......I did have one stud that wanted to back out on me. Question is ... what is the proper way to install these? Torque ? Antiseize ? Loctite ? and what tool to use? Thank you .

No torque wrench use a 1/4 drive socket and just snug them up then after a day of riding re tighten . DO NOT USE A TORQUE WRENCH! you will break a stud if you do.

I was referring to the stud itself.

use blue or red locktite .. and 2 - 6mm nuts as jam nuts .. 2 wrenches to sperate the nuts after you screw the stud back into the head ..

Let locktite dry .. it will stay there ..

Antiseize on the stud threads under the acorn nuts when you put the pipe back on .

Use blue lock tight, red is used for a permanent installation, if you need to replace one down the road after you used red they could be extremly hard to remove.

I used anti seize on both ends, I don't care if it comes out of the block with the nut removal. But I do care if I need to remove a broken stub how hard it is.
