If I got into a handshake agreement with someone and they then went out and belittled my family, I would have nothing to do with them, and anyone who would isnt much of a man IMHO.
So, it was perfectly ok for Cruzand /or his supporters, to go after Donald's wife with pictures and text from when she was a model, in the state of Utah, just before that election?
Trump was responding to the snide attacks on HIS FAMILY. Cruz started the war. NOT Trump. Trump roared back, and, like always, did it one better.
Sorry, the instant Trumps's wife was attacked, gloves come off. Cruz did not like it. Well, if you can't stand the heat, don't start the fire!
As the saying goes, I have no dog in the hunt. But as I understand it, the picture was one that Melania had on GQ. She wasn't coerced in to it. A SuperPac for Cruz put it out there for people to see. But anybody could have seen it anyway, it was on a public magazine. There was nothing doctored. The pic that Trump put up of Trumps wife was unflattering, but also public. The tweeting of the story of Cruz's dad possibly being in cahoots with Lee Harvey Oswald was sleazy.
So, why is Cruz so upset? Both did it to each other, yet Cruz is the one with the grudge.
It was shown over and over again ad nauseum that it was not Cruz or his campaign or anyone associated with them. It was a pro Cruz pac that put up pics of Trumps wife. IF he had been involved it would have been breaking the law, and I am pretty sure that he doesnt just use his faith, so it would go against his character. At the time the pics came out, he was beating The Donald pretty handily in the western states, it gained him nothing, so it was a stupid move for a campaign. The other MAIN point is that the pics that had been in the media for a long long time, pics that were taken on a Trump jet. All of which were legitimate model shots taken of his wife. If he actually was proud of her he could have said "Yep, thats MY wife." and gotten a ton of good press out of it, people like good looking women. Cruz stopped it and apologized for people who supported him even though he had no control over them.
It WAS however the Trump campaign and Trump himself that went after Cruz's wife with half truths and pics taken to make her look bad.
If we were business rivals, it would be like my neighbor showing the world what your wife did for a living, with pics of what your wife actually did, and then you retaliate fabricating stuff on my wife because it would get you noticed by the papers.
