I just installed my Uniq Cycle Sounds. By the way we talked about this system back in the spring and it is better than I thought it would be.  With 400 watts it will sound loud and clear at any speed and is made in Colorado and has a lifetime warranty.  My goodness.      I Put it on my Honda Shadow Ace Tourer instead of my Valk Tourer as I will put a fairing on the Valk by this next winter.  My Ace Tourer looks like this ( do not have an outside photo file as yet.

https://www.google.com/search?q=honda+shadow+ace+tourer&tbm=isch&imgil=S40NjSlhhHXqFM%253A%253BXGYsmBQKdNARJM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww3.telus.net%25252Fgordonv1%25252FVT1100T.html&source=iu&pf=m&fir=S40NjSlhhHXqFM%253A%252CXGYsmBQKdNARJM%252C_&usg=__4sXe8JWEwASRiw987JLp53_a_eQ%3D&biw=1680&bih=949&ved=0ahUKEwi535eWlKjOAhVm6YMKHd32DUMQyjcIKQ&ei=K2qjV_mdHebSjwTd7beYBA#imgrc=khejMtajrzhJvM%3A

Any way it comes with an MP3 flash drive.  I decided to download youtube favorites of mine and my 13 year old son set it up for my computer to do this very easily.  Came out quite well.

I want to make another MP3 with nothing but motorcycle songs.  I thought just maybe the good folks here could list a favorite ( or maybe not so favorite motorcycle tune of theirs ) and I will compile the list and zip it off.

I will start it off with and oldie but goodie.  An old Ronnie Montrose tune   BAD MOTOR SCOOTER.  It was penned by a then young up and commer  Sammy Hagar and it was "Ronnie Montrose that achieved that unique slide guitar motorcycle sound that starts the song.
I do appreciate.
Chuck

I'm gonna give away my age here. Depends on your age and type of music you like, country, rock, classic rock. My band still plays classic rock so this is some of it. Boston is good to listen to. Skynard or any southern rock, Allman Bros, Chicago..Styx...Three Dog Night, Creedence, Kansas, those are some I have, but that is my taste.

Are we discussing general music/songs to listen to while riding or music/songs with a motorcycle theme?

Like Hooter says, depends on what you like.  My tastes are extremely varied, and for a while I would shuffle my MP3s.  Once I was at a stop light, and could feel the eyes on my bad motorscooter (I realize they're not on me anymore).  I was appalled to hear the song change from Lynyrd Skynyrd's Was I Right Or Wrong to Nat King Cole's Unforgettable.   Embarrassed

Nowadays I use playlists or select an artist.

Most of what I listen to is Roots - Bluegrass - 50's-60's Country, so maybe not the best contributor to this thread. A lot of the motorcycle themed "rock" songs are a little too cliché for me. My favorite is Vincent Black Lightning by Richard Thompson (a bit more upbeat cover by Del McCoury is also very good). I have always retained one classic rock song on my riding playlists though ...Goin' Up The Country by Canned Heat....something about that song just makes you want to keep twisting the throttle  Cool

Dang, haven't heard any Canned Heat in a long time. This one is pretty good too. But I'll have to say my favorite motorcycle tune is AC/DC's Highway to Hell

Vincent Black Lightning by Richard Thompson

A very good version by a local band, "Kentucky Chrome", can prolly be found on the You Tube, (right Sinkhead?)
Some times I put it on "repeat" ...

Agree with most of the above, and are in my playlists. Not necessarily biker songs, but lotsa stuff by Delbert mcClinton, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, a few singles like Black Betty (Ram Jam I think), Lay Down Sally (Clapton), Good Man, Good Woman (Delbert & Bonnie), Somebody to Love You (Delbert & Bonnie)...  There are so many more...

That would be Arlo Guthrie - "The Motorcycle Song".  I have 22 of his tunes in my playlist. Great music, he can take his politics...

Been some good ones mentioned by GIG so far. Jeepers just love ROLL ME AWAY and will look into LITTLE HONDA.

I guess I forgot to mention, actually thought it was obvious but silly me - my fault.  The songs have to be about motorcycles or motorcycling in some form.

Here is another I will include   KICK START MY HEART   by Motley Crue.

Thanks in advance gang

A true Motorcycle song in the heavy metal category is Desert Plains
By Judas Priest

Full moon is rising
The sky is black
I need your call I'm coming back
The road is straight cast
Wind's in my eyes
The engine roars between my thighs

Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
'on a steel horse I ride...'

George Thorogood has a few good songs, but mostly about drinking....  not riding?   Shocked
AC/DC as well is hard to beat if into good old hard rock n roll

Sawyer Brown has a few good songs as well like 'dirt road'  'the race is on'  'six days on the road' 'the boys and me' and 'bettys' being bad', among others

Or go all old school country like smoky and the bandits song 'east bound and down'

I also like Kathy Mattea's song '455 rocket'  or this dirt road anthem:  http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/brantleygilbert/dirtroadanthemrevisited.html

Arms Wide Open by Creed. Pretty much anything by Nickelback. Any early Allman Brothers, in particular Whipping Post and Drunken Hearted Boy sung by Elvin Bishop with the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore East. It wasn't on the album but was included when it was re-released on DVD. Frijid Pink's version of the House of the Rising Sun. The Pine Ridge Boys for variety. Red House by Jimi Hendrix. Radar Love by Golden Earring. Any Bob Seger, Zepplin or Deep Purple when Richie was playing guitar for them. Jethro Tull, Aerosmith, Mountain.
