Hello Valk Riders,
It's been a long time since I've posted and I hope all my old friends are doing well.

I am about to purchase a new modular helmet and , without doing all the looking, I need some advice on where to find the best prices.  I'm thinking about another HJC SyMax (now a 3), but I'm open to some input.  The SyMax has been great and fits my fat head great.  At this point Ebay seems to have the best prices.    Any input would be great.

I don't have one, but I think this will be my next helmet.

Helmets should always be tried on for head fit. Small adjustments can be made by swapping interior pads. I'd hesitate to but online unless you found the same model locally for a fit.

I just purchased a CL-MAX 11 from my local Honda shop the fit & finish is excellent. Sure you can buy a more expensive helmet but the one your looking at is a great helmet at a great price.

Here's a better HJC fiberglass helmet I'm trying to sell for a friend.
If you are  interested P.M. or email me.

Depends on your head shape!
I had an HJC and found it to be leaky in the rain and noisy at highway speeds.
I went to a Nolan N-104 and zero leakage in torrential downpours, zero fogging with the pinloc inner shield in place and moderately better in the noise department. The Nolan fit my head better as well but that does not mean it will fit yours.

I bought a Nolan 104 online this year for myself and the wife. I ordered a Schuberth C3 and the Nolan 104. The Nolan just felt better, the front hugged the top better when the whole face was flipped up, didn't look like a massive horn on your head.

Plus I have a really big head, but the Nolan large fit me perfectly, and since there are 2 shell sizes and the smaller one goes up to L, mine and my wife's small were the same size shell. So we only need to carry one extra face shield with us on trips, they are interchangeable.  And NO fogging with the pinlock visor. It really is amazing.

"Shark" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCmJt8bc7TI

Bought one for the longer rides. Need the open face for the hotter temps and luv how the chin bar goes all the way back out of the way of the wind. Only had it out once so far and it still needs some breaking in as there is pressure on the forehead due to how oval my head is. The old model I could never have worn but they changed the shape some so it helps for heads like mine. Lenses are good and am glad it has a tinted one as wearing sun glasses is impossible! The fit leaves no room for the arms and the pressure drives you nuts. Googles would work though. Anyway, for me, I think the "Shark Evo 3 has got it covered!

I had already been considering a modular for my next helmet when, last December, Bob's BMW ran a special on the Schuberth C3.  $319 shipped.  Too good to pass up.  After a visit to a local dealer to test fit for size and comfort went well, I ordered one.  Very impressed.  Spoiled by the flip down sun visor and in clean air, certainly the quietest helmet I've had.

Baldo, I think you are getting the C3 and C3Pro mixed up. The C3 has been reduced for a while. C3Pro is $600-$800 depending on color/graphics
