One of my favorites:

BE PREPARED TO STOP

Don't know about your vehicle, but,      MINE has brakes,      therefore, I am ALWAYS "prepared".

I like the Yield signs at railroad crossings.  Yield the right-of-way.  Like you have a choice in the matter.

I recently put up a new sign.

You are entering a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind.
You are entering the flip-flop zone.
Appropriate dress required.

Another one at the front door.

No working during drinking hours.

More of a picture than a sign BUT I liked it-jane fondas picture in a urinal. Also seen above a urinal-we aim to please-you aim too PLEASE. Seen in more than one Navy head-flush twice-it's a long way to the chow hall. At a video store I frequented in Colorado-if you smoke we will assume you are on fire and take the appropriate measurers. Also-smoke if you must just don't exhale. RIDE SAFE.

Instead of placing this sign every  mile and a half on this stretch of road they just need to put one  4 x 4 sign at the start:
                                        Fun next 11 miles
                                            Mind your crap!

Dennis, I like this one about Jane even better.  Grin

Also found this one amusing until my wife suggested putting it out front. Roll Eyes Probably photo-shopped to add the old timer's image at the top. Still funny.

Years ago I had so much dog poop in my yard, I came very close to putting up my own sign.

DOG OWNERS

Please take your dog crap with you.

Or feel free to eat it right here.

Since my last name(actually the only name I've ever had  Wink) is Schmidt, I wanted to put a sign on our mail box that read:  THE SCHMIDT HOUSE!  I was overruled 1:1, any guesses as to who it might have been?   Grin

This one "hung" on the side of Hwy #3 close to Manning Park in BC for quite a few years after a devastating forest fire caused by a cigarette thrown from a car in the late 50's. I remember as a kid travelling from home in Nelson BC to Vancouver to visit family... it was a 9-10 hour drive in those days and us kids always waited to see  the "big cigarette at the burnt down forest" because it looked cool and then we knew we were getting close to Vancouver. The Provincial Government dept. of forestry posted the sign....can you imagine the backlash if a goverment body did someting like that in today's world?

I posted this one a while back on another "signs" thread...from our annual Valhalla Rally for NW US and Western CDN  Valkers...next year being held in Post Falls ID the Friday-Saturday prior to Inzane in Billings...a perfect waypoint enroute to Billings cooldude

I know this is a bit of a hijack, but I thought some might be interested in the Jagermeister shrine here at work.  The owners/management are fans.
