I understand how the choice in this election is a difficult one for many.
I do like Mr. Trump. I do believe he is constantly maligned by the establishment media. Most times in subtle ways. Occasionally just outright.
Obviously not the standard politician. Prone to gaffes? Sure. Does it bother me? No.
He has faults. No question.
Can his political views be all over the place? Yes they can.
But he is dynamic. He has a record of failures but he has a greater record of successes. He has a reputation of bringing together the best people to get jobs done. He has highly respected conservatives supporting him.
I am hoping and am fairly confident that the debates and the closing months of the campaign will be good for Mr. Trump.
If we could make Hillary Clinton a "generic" political candidate, I would be very impressed with her. But she is not. If she had a respected reputation, a career with notable and positive results, and extraordinarily more fashion sense, (My God, it is like the Dictators Are Us "Kim Jong-un" line of fashion) I'd have much greater respect for her and might have considered voting as such.
But I have no respect for her or her Husband.
Involved in politics since before the Nixon era, she has been a lawyer, Wife of a Governor, First Lady of the United States, a US Senator, and Sec. of State.
She has been involved in high level politics and governing for most of her political life.
It would be very logical to expect her to be intelligent and very self aware of how government works.
Yet in most of the political scandals she has been involved in, particularly lately, we get led to believe she didn't know anything about anything. The Dumb Blonde Defense.
There are 2 possibilities. She is: 1. A dumb blond and stunningly ignorant or 2. Absolutely corrupt well beyond the point of criminality.
Nobody is that dumb.
I would bet that if Trump, or any conservative candidate would have a "Clinton Foundation" type of "Foundation" and claimed transparency, the media would on it like a 24-7 proctology exam.
And they should be.
Yet I haven't heard any serious questions or concerns from the establishment media about the Clinton Foundation and the State Department conflicts of interests.
The media should be DEMANDING records from the Foundation and State Department. They should be DEMANDING Mrs. Clinton have press briefings to field questions about this. They should be DEMANDING the transparency she promised them and the people of this country.
But the media coverage is like "Mrs. Clinton's spokesperson said that Mrs. Clinton never "LOOK IT'S A SQUIRREL!" now the weather".
At the end of the day, a Trump presidency would have both sides of the political spectrum holding Mr. Trump accountable. Both sides would have him in their sights so he will have to produce results. Good ones, to stay in office. So I am really comfortable with giving him my vote.
A Clinton presidency will continue the polarization of the political landscape. We will see nothing answered for or to by Mrs. Clinton or the Clinton Foundation.
There isn't even an attempt by the Clintons to be above reproach anymore.
I cannot conceive of any possibility to giving Mrs. Clinton my vote.
easy peasy for me.
