My Baker Wings were looking mighty shabby, and I just couldn't put them back on until they got cleaned up and I blame Larue, Jack, Nick and specially Jerry for this.. My first powder coat job.
BEFORE..look away they are hideous

and AFTER

Now I've got some hardware to replace.

You too have fallen to the dark side spell.  Slowly it starts at first and then it's an all out campaign to rid your bike of the "polish once a week" shinny stuff. LOL
By the way it looks really good and it will complement your bike.

Get rid of those black plastic bolts and replace them with some SS pieces. Did you do the PC yourself of have it done. Small stuff like that can easily be done at home, just don't use mama's kitchen oven. A guy I used to know years back up north got a small apt. size electric stove and put it in his garage. Used it to make coffee for himself and visitors and if he could, he'd put off PC projects until winter and use the heat to help warm his shop. Couldn't do real large projects but most of his buddies just wanted a lot of little stuff PC'd so it kinda paid for itself.

Your stuff looks great, wish I could afford doing that to my valve covers on the Valk and 1200.

looks nice.    :cooldude:
I'm getting worried about all you guys with the "powder coating" addiction, don't have a meeting cause you'll just come up with other ideas what to coat.  ;)

I had it done locally, notice the receipt under the hdwe, the prep work I felt needed sand blasting or something better than what I could do. So what's next Deb, glad you asked, how bout I'll take sugestions on colors and patterns for the I/S wheels. I was thinking using the stock silver and blue, using one as a pin stripe, kinda like Nicks wheels. Ohh boy here we go !  And then I'm done, really.

Aww,crap going to have to start a PCA chapter here. Powder Coaters Anonymous.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Yep, and I'll have to join, also. bought a set of '99 wheels from Jack, and I will have them powder coated before I put the next set of new tires on them.

When I first started to read that response I thought the ending was going to be, I'm going to have to get an oven now.

Grumpy's powder coating.    :uglystupid2:

Looks much nicer Mike.  HOWEVER you took both of them apart at the same time.  I only did that once.  I thought I would never get everything back in the right places.  ;D
