Evidently evidence of Melania Trumps illegal status has surfaced. https://apnews.com/37dc7aef0ce44077930b7436be7bfd0dOn a separate note. She gave a campaign speech the other day, citing that if she becomes First Lady she would work against bullying, derogatory language, over our social media. Do these people even know each other ? Do they talk to each other ? As per the article, Mrs. Trump was here legally. On a visitor visa. The issue isn't that she was in the country illegally but that she was not authorized to work as this requires a work visa. I am not sure what comparison you are trying to make here. If there are consequences to her unauthorized employment I don't believe anyone, including Mr. and Mrs. Trump would be adverse to paying and owning up to whatever would be required. It's just that I'm not exactly sure what would be required if anything at all. She wasn't here, at any time, unlawfully. The only question is her unauthorized employment at the time due to lacking a proper visa. She followed the law, followed the steps and became a U.S. Citizen. Where is the crisis here? Eggsactly. And before we go to school on spelling yes I meant yo spell it that way :coolsmiley:now where is that middle finger emoji

No crisis, just a little hypocrisy . The issue is when she applied for her work visa she would have lied about working here on her visitor visa. Lying about that subjects one to the possible revocation. It's not going to happen. And I'm not saying it should. What I'm saying is, for someone who's main platform is to "build a wall" to keep out illegal immigrants its ironic that he married someone who broke the immigration laws. It is also ironic that her goal is to keep out "mean words" from social media when that is her husbands sole passion to use "mean words" in our social media. No huge scandal. Just a lot of BS from someone who is supposedly a straight talker.

Geez, $20,000 for working seven weeks. If she was modeling I guess I chose the wrong vocation. Where can I pick up some part time modeling gigs, I need some Christmas money. PS: Hope they aren't nudies, as the old song says: "I don't look good naked anymore!" (or ever) (nobody expected me to take this post serious did they?) John, you have to take a shower to be a model.

Well, I'll agree, it appears she did something she shouldn't have done (according to media sources).
Press charges, prove her guilt and make her pay what ever the price is. Fines, jail time, what ever....
Just be sure to apply the same attitude to Hillary and Bill. Oh Yeah, be sure you have an independent prosecuting attorney pursuing the case and not one influenced by political bosses.

The funny as Hell part of this thread is the "Holier than Thou" stance our resident libs are taking against a gal that started out as an illegal then worked and became a citizen yet will readily vote for the most in your face corrupt person ever to run for office and try to sweep her many crimes under the rug. That is truly amazing. and IF she gets elected her Dictatorship will be totally embroiled from day one in a legal nightmare, rendering her just about totally useless until she is ousted from office. Won't that be great for this country. And still she has folks who are willing to bury their heads in the sand and vote for her. Amazing.

Just a lot of BS from someone who is supposedly a straight talker. Really struggling to see the hypocrisy here. Clearly she applied for the work visa. This is based on 20 year old paper records with former company officials not recalling the status at the time. I can't connect the dots here. Now, if she had her work visa denied, and then knowingly commenced working in spite of the denial, then, hell, I could connect the dots. As far as mean words, talk with Jz
