Verizon towers seem to have great coverage but the cost of Verizon is ridiculous. My plan with them is about to expire and looking to replace with something less expensive.

Walmart Straight Talk $45/mo unlimited talk text data just buy a card and put in in yourself each month no contract.  You might have to by a initial sim for the straight talk compatibility but after that you're good.

watch the plans at wal mart, you can get straight talk in either cdma or gsm versions. the blue map on the front is ATT and the red map indicates its Verizon.. I have the ATT go phone plan and have the samsung s-6 as does the wife..i havend had a minutes problem with my ATT or her straight talk on ATT towers.. 40 bucs a month unlimited everything,,after 5 gig it slows down but i have never hit that much yet.

I have no clue about cdma or gsm.  It's 4G LTE on Verizon towers.  Never had a problem

Sprint and Verizon (also US Cellular) use CDMA,
AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM.
Straight Talk buys airtime from the "big four" instead of building & maintaining their own network.
Here's more than you ever probably wanted to know about CDMA vs GSM...
(& the Moto X Pure works on both)

Looks like it would have been ok if it lived in a shirt pocket.... Wink Wink

Wouldn't have "flown" any better than it could "swim"
¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Thanks Mr Whiskey, and you were right, TMI.  So I probably have CDMA, if Verison isn't using all LTE, my phone is probably locked,. But, it works for me
