So would you prefer that everyone has them but us? Let's face it Baldo,,he will never do anything right in your opinion.

And it seems to me that you and many others here feel he can do no wrong, in your opinion. If Obama had said or done half the stunts Trump has already pulled, you'd all be apoplectic, pulling your hair out.

Oh believe me, he has and more. But you did not see me whining about it every day. And I have very little hair BTW

Let's say give credit to Obama for "controlling nukes" during his tenure. How about Soviet aggression? I guess The big O is satisfied with his performance there too, how about you? Trump will make mistakes but I won't be pulling my hair out, I don't have any to spare after Obama's 8 years.

you did not answer my question. Did you even read it?

Of course I read it. I read all your posts. Since we already have them, I thought it was a rhetorical question, not really needing an answer... ;)

I never saw anything saying they would have 10X the nukes... ;)

But how many does a country really need to annihilate another country? Wasn't that the question back in the day?

And to be honest, as insane as it would be to start that whole arms race up again, I'm considerably more concerned about other countries gaining access to nuclear weapons. It's much easier to keep an eye on what exists now, then potentially doubling that number, or more! Who knows? Where and when does it stop?

The more effective the systems to shoot down missiles and bombers become, the more total number will be needed to maintain an effective deterrent to make sure that NONE of them are ever used.

I do know of some that think he is doing just fine.   That would be the markets, businesses nationwide especially small businesses like me and 26 million others and yes even consumers, that be us little peons.   Consumer confidence level or Consumer Sentiment is at its highest level since in 2004 at 98.2 in December almost 10 points higher than last April.

That is exactly what happened. He new exactly what he was doing when he called into Mika while Shawn Spicer was talking with her.  After the way the msm treated him I thinks he get a big kick out of watching them go off chasing down rabbit holes.  And it worked.

Think about this Baldo he is still a month from taking office and you are already concerned about what he could spend his time on?  ( we all know that O spent half his time golfing on our dime and the other half screwing the US) He has done more work in the last month getting ready to take office than O did in his first 18 months. He can spend his time doing as he wishes at this tome but he is already working on his Job as President. Give the guy a chance to take office and see what he might be able to do .

Thank you for the laughs while reading these posts.  The irony overflows onto the keyboard.

Russia is spoken about, by all, the exact same way the Soviet Union was spoken about in.......... 1985 !

I recall a presidential debate question in which the republican stated that Russia was our biggest geopolitical threat and the democrat mocked him by saying that 1985 is calling and wants its foreign policy back.

I can't believe how self-righteous you guys are. It was a non-stop bitchfest with Obama, then Clinton for how long? And here it is, one month before he takes office and starts playing games with nukes with one of the three superpowers on this planet. And starts it off with a tweet? How can you not be floored??

And you're whining about people raising these concerns?

I'm digging the transparency.

As for playing with nukes,......... Um, this administration making nuclear weapons deals with Iran was OK ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  That one, and its outcome, still has smart people all over the world floored.

And because of that. not only will the U.S. have to ramp up its nuclear capabilities to meet that of Russia, we're gonna have to compete with N. Korea (that we've done nothing about), Iran, and China.

The complacency of this past administration and awful foreign policies have put us in a hole we now need to climb out of and then prevail as the leader this world needs us to be.

I don't think Trump is playing games with nukes.  He has something we aren't used to from the POTUS.  He's got the balls to say it how it is ( no more political correctness) if they ( no matter who they are) ramp up we will maintain our position of strength.  What part of peace through strength do you not understand, oh I almost forgot, you thought Obama was doing a good job as he trashed us and weakened our stance all over the world.

Not whining about you raising concerns and I never claimed to be self-righteous just asking you to let the man have a chance, when O was elected I wasn't pleased but thought he has the chance to do more for this country Than any other Pres. We have had, especially with Race relations but yet he failed with every attempt at anything especially Race relations.  In the words of John Lennon (Give Trump a chance) :2funny: :2funny:

The only thing unstable are liberal responses to a no so complicated scenario.

In all likelihood  the nuke's guidance, delivery, support systems and software are few decades old. The systems are long overdue for an upgrade.

If your going to have a nuclear deterrent doesn't it make sense to ensure its reliable and uses the latest technology?

All this fuss over Trump's and Putin's comments is misguided hysteria.

When confronted by a threat, I'd much rather the lead dog snarls and shows his teeth instead of roll over on his back, expose his throat, pee on himself then apologize to our adversaries.

I'd rather he consulted with his experts and not shoot from the hip on Tweeter. There is nothing wrong with being firm, calm, and deliberate . Versus throwing out policy in a tweet.
