BikerGirl and I rode from St. Louis to the CA border on 66 before heading south to visit some friends in Tucson AZ back in 2013.

We ended up in LaCrosse WI for our first Inzane and won the Most Meandering Trip award that year.

DEFINITLEY regret not finishing RT66 to the CA coast.  Hope that can happen again someday.

It will... cooldude

Good Deal!  cooldude cooldude

Many  of those places are on my bucket list.

As the old saying goes, " If the Lord is willing and the creek don't rise", One day I'm going to throw a leg over a bike and spend at least several months exploring this beautiful country of ours.

That must have been quite a major accomplishment for someone to move Mt. Rushmore to route 66.  In my day it was a good deal further north.

Looks like it was an enjoyable ride.   cooldude

We're going on this ride in June. Chicago to LA with group. Then with one other couple north to Washington state and staying north, heading east. Hitting Glacier NP and Yellowstone NP and all the sights between there and West Virginia. Plan on at least a month possibly longer. Going to stay as long as we can stand it.
