Green Bay kicker was awesome,  Rodgers and Cook are some kind of amazing

And being from NY and a Giant (They are from the Bronx like me) fan there are few things more satisfying than watching Dallas lose a game

Well maybe watching the Red Sox or the Patriots lose    2funny

I generally don't get too excited about sportsball one way or the other, but my mom is literally in tears and totally inconsolable right now, and for that reason alone I wish the Cowboys had won...

Serk,  please remind your mom that  it is still JUST A GAME and at least it was a barn burner worth watching.  The sun should still rise tomorrow right?  Kiss

When we lost our sectional H.S. football game my senior year, a game we dominated tripling their yardage and still lost to stupid turnovers expected to go all the way to the big dance,  I thought the world would end as well first time ever cried loosing a football game knowing it would be the last time I ever stepped onto the gridiron again.  Cry

A few years ago Crosby field goal kicker was spotty for GB, but last few years he has been very accurate thankfully for us..  cooldude

I thought for sure that last kick was seriously curving left going to miss but the GODS from above straightened out that left hook to go straight again just barely enough.

Plus Serk, remind your mom that da boyz will be right back up there for several more years to come and all hope is not lost... Cry

I do have to agree with you about hopefully the Patsies loose since not a huge Brady fan.

Packers and Chiefs would be a nice change of pace I think!!!!! angel

My youngest and family live in GB so just to yank her chain I sent her a note; "looks like GB pulled another one out of their butt."  I do that regardless of how much they win by and I always get an answer. She knows I always do it on purpose....and I know she'll always bite. It's a dad/daughter thing.  Grin

During one game when they were losing, I sent her a note that said...."send in the cheerleaders."  She sent back an emoticon of the dropped pants(mooned) along with a big smiley face.  Grin

That pass interference call was pretty bad. There was no way in Hell that ball was catchable and the interference part was pretty iffy as well......jus' sayin'!

I agree more with that statement since overall there were a few more holds on defensive back by the Cowboys that were not called with 1-2 of them could easily have been a TD for the Packers if the refs did their job better.  One was a no call when the Packers WR in first half had his shoulder pads showing outside his jersey and NO call trying to get to Rodgers pass.

just a rough estimate, but there were almost double NO calls for holding on the Cowboys side vs. the banged up Packers secondary.    The Cowboys should have taken more advantage throwing the ball more so downfield on the banged up D-backs of the Packers.

Good game,  but I felt the Packers deserved to win that game FINALLY so far getting that monkey off their back, at least for now.

Could not have said it better myself!
That kicker  was clutch too.  cooldude  Calm demeanor of Rodgers  cooldude
Catch that was made to set up game winner  cooldude
Guess that is why it is the ultimate team sport!

I am a Cleveland Browns fan from 1995 and before. If not for having a 16yo boy in the house. Probably would not watch any of it. What you see the NFL letting happen in San Diego, Oakland and St. Louis / L. A. Let alone what happened in Cleveland. What a joke!

I hate this also.  To me a major sports team is about the city or region of the country.  There is a solution or are the Green Bay Packers the smartest organization in the country.  They will never move.

that is because the Packers are owned by the people/shareholders and we love our Packers, although only time I could ever get tickets to lambeau is a pre-season game and even those are not cheap seats.  There is a reason EVERY single game is sold out and a LONG waiting list to get season tickets besides having a slightly smaller and less fancy stadium.

gotta now route for the 2 underdogs being Pack and Steelers, but anyone of the 4 teams are capable of showing up on game day and winning.

If A Rod is on along with supporting cast even though their secondary is questionable being injured or inexperienced or just play terrible,  the Pack can be, at times, almost unstoppable, or so I hope.  coolsmiley

I wish I knew more about the Falcons,  they all claim they are a very solid team, just cannot route for them against the Pack.  That would be my other pick to win the Superbowl.

PATS have been there way too many times, definitely a dynasty with Brady leading the show, just gotta make sure the footballs are fully inflated is all..  2funny

I'm a big Cowboys fan and it was a heck of a game. Hats off to Aaron Rogers - never give him any time or he'll find a way to beat you.

agreed. We really do have a good team though. The guy is just hard to beat no matter what. I wish they'd bring Brett Favre back.  Smiley

The game drew the highest divisional ratings in 20 years.

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/packers-cowboys-divisional-round-ratings-history-20-years-highest-011617

Rodgers has terrific arm strength and accuracy, but what separates him is his scrambling and accuracy on the run.  He is the best at this since Fran Tarkenton and probably better.

Packers were very inconsistent thru the first 1/2 of the season for sure on both sides of the ball, but have been making a strong comeback if firing on all cylinders.  Montgomery, the RB/WR combo I think has had a lot to do with that turnaround since they do not really have a full time decent RB any longer, besides A-rod having darn good games lately.  Sure hope Jordy Nelson is back, although even almost never heard of Cook caught a ball this time to help win so other WR's have stepped up their game.  Just have to be leery of the defensive backs not showing up to cover very well is my biggest issue with the Packers.  Plus, have not heard much of veterans Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers needing to step it up as well.

Sorry, not old enough to see Fran Tarkenton play a game ever, but pretty sure the majority of QB's nowadays have more ZIP on the ball than he did, just a guess?

reason why packers and cowboys had high TV showing attendance is both teams have a very good following of fans nationwide am sure with guessing more so a lot more haters of the cowboys over the packers.

Yah,  I miss Favre in the drivers seat as well, you never knew what he would do and when, total wild card.  Could not bare to see him in that Vikings uniform though made me wanna puke. That said, look at those few years that A-rod held his tongue to finally get his chance am sure rodgers stats would have been better if played those first few years vs. sitting it out on the sidelines.  Favre still looks like he could play yet today, as long as he keeps his gray beard shaved off.    He is around my age or a little over,  and am sure has kept in much better shape than most of us although pushing 50 might get hurt more so?
