If this doesn't stir your soul..........................

You didn't finish the sentence.  I need to know what is my expected result.   Wink

It is a cute poem but highly unrealistic.  It's actually in violation of good flag etiquette to fly a flag as pictured.  Obviously couldn't have been the same flag during the revolution, War of 1812, War between the States, Alamo.  Oh, wait!  There was no U.S. flag flying at the Alamo.

It's a cute poem but aimed at your emotions with no foundation in reality.   Wink

Now that moves me.

I like Johnny Cash but I think he went out of his way to relate to the "common" man.  I don't think he was as unintelligent as he presented himself, but that is, nonetheless, how he presented himself.   Smiley

I saw that before the Superbowl Rams.  Was hoping someone would put it up.  To me it was just a symbolic story of all that the flag has been through to make and keep this country free.

I use to know Johnny Cash's friend Warren, can't remember his last name.  I think he was Cash's  business agent or associate in some manner anyway.  Warren was either married to or going with Rich Little's ex wife, very pretty redhead.  They liked to drink a bit at Lord Fletcher Inn ( had a great bartender named Mike Taylor ).  He had so many funny stories about Johnny, especially in his not so sober days, that would make us bust a gut.
