HG & FB,
My spirit sure wants to, but... my calendar has a vice-like grip on my apparent itinerary, and it ain't looking all that promising at the moment... Commitments to meet, responsibilities to fulfill, promises to keep... So, here's a thought... don't make this event the last one... let it be no less than the next to last one... Sounds good to me, anyway...
However things work out, though, I thank you both for all the effort you two have expended over the many years (25?) hosting gatherings, providing a major social event for many of us, providing some seriously good BBQ, helping kids... providing a venue for good people to get together and bask in the warm glow of genuine friendship.
Most of us travel the entire length of our journey of life without ever having a realistic grasp of the extent our shadow has touched other lives in a positive way... Compared to most folks I've ever known, the two of your represent a total eclipse!!! Thanks.

We're coming no matter what! But the long term forecast is calling for snow on Tue & Wed, the day we planned to leave. Rigged up the CX5 to pull the TimeOut if we have to - but sure want to RIDE. Hoping the forecast is amended appropriately. Now that we have had great, 20° higher-than-normal weather for 2 weeks, it was bound to change and the jet stream which has been over Wyoming is about to slip south and sit over us, pushing the high pressure cell away and replacing it with a low. CRAP! Maybe it will be only a local low and we can slip out w/o wet/slippery roads. Gotta worry about the return too... Bad time of year for depending on a big ride in Colorado. Very often the weather sux in Mar-Apr here unless you want to ski.

3 nights was $203 and change, including tax. Just a little bit down 35 from the other 3 motels but hoping for a better experience. Not saying the others were bad just sayin'.

Appears my daughter, Michelle, is coming with me. She has been there a few yrs ago and wanted to go again. Her husband is in school in Georgia with the Army and her daughter is in Naval Boot Camp in Illinois. I think she is in need of some excitement. JP, she is all yours.

It's raining here in Fort Collins this morning and mid 40s. Maybe snow at Damon's in the Springs tomorrow am. I hope to get down there this afternoon and ride between the showers. I had to search around for both inner liners to my jacket and pants yesterday. Sure wish I would have bought some heated gear when it was on sale this winter  |

TT You might want to stop by Aurora Honda on the way there. We stopped in a cpl weeks ago and they had a sale on their battery operated gloves. Pretty nice, heated up quick, had good controls, Li-O batts rechargeable, good duration, no need to wire your bike up. Convenient as you don't need to wire up to ride. Charge in the motel at night. They bought too many for the season. With the sale they are still about $100 but nearly half off. Look to be good quality. Their # is 303-341-7200. Located on W frontage rd Potomac 1 blk N of Alameda & I-225.

Cant wait  all packed and ready to roll. Unfortunately our forecast has rain in it too, especially around Jackson MS again, hopefully no tornados this year, just rain....and not so much.....  See you all Friday |
