She's the one with dark hair, now in her mid 20's. Her mother was my daughter #3(Tracy), that we lost to cancer in 2006. Lisa is her oldest, the fruit didn't fall far from the tree it appears. Her mom sang with the St. Louis Philharmonic for a number of years, she traveled quite a bit both with the St. L. Phil and its chorale, and on her own. But, her greatest pleasure was simply singing in and directing the church choir. Lisa's voice is a crystal clear high soprano(mezzo soprano), whereas her mother was more of a contralto, i.e., still soprano but generally a lower upper range.

The piece the kids are singing, Alleluia, is done "a cappella" and in multi-part harmony with multiple recordings. When you see multiple pictures of the singers, that's the number of parts that's being sung, you're kinda accompanying yourself so to speak. Lisa said it's difficult to sing without vibrato when you have a natural one, takes practice to not break into it when the piece you're doing is all non-vib. Most people have a natural one, even if you can't carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it....most of the time you still have a natural vibrato. Result....you're off key with a vibrato.  ;)  I've heard her sing with instruments, some really heavy classical stuff and simple hymns and contemporary stuff. This is the first singing of this type I've heard her do, kinda neat I think. OK, I'm a little biased.  ;D

You should be proud! Very pretty girl to boot.
You are never lost if you don't care where you are!

I think I see a proud Paw Paw.   ;)
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Words of my own cannot express how beautiful that was to listen to. You're a lucky and blessed man and now it's out there for many to see. Thanks for posting it here and letting us into your family a little.

"I am not a courageous person by nature. I have simply discovered that, at certain key moments in this life, you must find courage in yourself, in order to move forward and live. It is like a muscle and it must be exercised, first a little, and then more and more.  A deep breath and a leap."

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous.
It is however, extremely unforgiving of: inattention, ignorance, incompetence or stupidity.
