The goals of cleaning up the planet are sound, but I can agree that we should not have to pay for everyone else as well.

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but… The earth is at least 4.6 BILLION years old. Humans have been on Ole’ Blue about 200,000 years. The dinosaurs lasted somewhere around 180 Million years and there is no clear consensus as to the cause of their demise. Basically that tells me that anyone that thinks they have the answers to our ride around Sol's climatology is awfully full of something that contains CH4 not CO2.

The Times They Are A Changin'. Well, so is the climate, always has been.
Way back when the mid-west was under 1000' of salt water the CO2 levels were 800+ ppm. Dinosaurs were alive and well and North America was covered with tropical vegetation.
During the last Ice Age the CO2 levels were less than 200 ppm.
During the Little Ice Age of the 14th century, the temperature dropped 8-12º within 10-20 years.
During these times I was not aware of any bad old tail pipes or nasty filthy smoke stacks.
WW2 aircraft that were being brought back took the Great Circle Route [ north pole] and many were forced to land on the ice pack. Some of these planes are now being rescued from the icy tombs. They seem to be well preserved but have to be brought up from 250-300' of polar ice.
Our climate has more to do with sun/solar activity than anything else, and , the sun is starting to die. Its reached its half life. So it is becoming more volatile and unstable. The suns activity also controls the North Atlantic Oscillation [ NAO] which has a great impact on our short term weather patterns [ 20-50 yr].
Our current CO2 levels are about 400ppm. Considering the last ice age we have a way to go to get back to historic levels. Actually I'm in favor of that. Agriculture loves CO2, we'll be able to feed more people on less acreage.
I also agree the higher CO2 levels should also reflect more of the suns force and help stabilize our climate. CO2 is actually a good thing. I think my grade school science classes got it right.
As mentioned, Mother Nature can hiccup once as in a volcano eruption and cause more damage to our atmosphere [10-20 yr] than we bad old humans and our industrialization.
Its claimed the sea has risen 9-10" [ highest numbers I've found] in the past century and the highest numbers I find now say it will rise 4-8" in the next century. Some [ I won't say liberals] in the Keys are going nutz over this. I've spent 16 winters there and have talked to many folks that have built the new bridges there and while fishing I've looked at a fair number of sea level markers [ I can't think of the correct term]. Most of these are need of quite a bit of repair since the building in the late 60s, but, the sea level has not risen in that amount of time. I've looked into this for these folks, and, went to our Navy records. I figured if anyone would know about sea levels in the Keys it would be our Navy. They say the highest levels occurred during 1940-50 and again from 1970-75. But, of course, to them I'm wrong. I'm not a Gorbalist.
Mr Trump not attending this fiasco should be applauded. Its a joke. We [ Americans ] pay while no one else [ except a few small countries along with us and the UK] while others contribute nothing. Our emissions are going down while those like China and India are skyrocketing. And, under this agreement, China doesn't have to do a single thing until 2030. Yep, this is certainly a great deal for us.
Phew, sorry, didn't mean to be this long winded.

Thanks, it's hard to refute good, solid science. But I'm afraid you are right, many wont listen. There is good, solid science on the other side too. Many won't listen.

The United States contributed $1 billion to the global Green Climate Fund, but the world's top polluters contributed nothing, David Asman reported. Asman said on "Forbes on Fox" that China, Russia and India contributed no money to the Green Climate Fund, yet that international community pressured the U.S. to join the Paris Climate Accord. Steve Forbes said that the billion-dollar payment is another reason why President Trump was smart to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris agreement. How the Global Warming Scare Began https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyUDGfCNC-k A great scientist named Roger Revelle had Al Gore in his class at Harvard and the Global Warming campaign was born. Revelle tried to calm things down years later, but Gore said Revelle was Senile and refused to debate. John Coleman documents the entire story and shows how our tax dollars are perpetuating the Global Warming alarmist campaign even though temperatures have not risen in years and years. Greenpeace Co-Founders Warns of Global Climate Change Scam / Global Warming Hoax ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIvLEwGS-70Global Warming is on its way to be a two trillion dollar scam. Our politicians (NWO) goals are to have total power and control over all the people. These politicians are using powerful human motivators in climate change : Fear and Guilt. We fear our modern way of life will kill are children and grand children. We the people are being told, carbon dioxide is a toxic pollutant and must be curtailed. In fact without carbon dioxide above 150 parts per million, all plants would die. What I think is good is that more scientists are coming forward about this Global warming hoax. Heck, even the liberals had to start paying attention and had to change the name to climate change because even they started to realize the globe wasn't warming.

Global warming is nothing more than a hoax. Whoever believes it needs some real help. I do think we could still try to keep pollution to a minimum because it wont hurt if we do, but we don't need to be in some stupid Paris accord to fund these wackos ideas.

Agree.... AND CO2 is not pollutant. From satellite photo's and NASA, there is a greening of the Globe which is attributed to CO2. Is this a bad thing??? Just a side note, folks who have green houses increase the CO2 level 2 -3 time the amount occurring naturally to make more growth.

The deeper you bore into the glacier the further back in time you go, so to speak. The ice has micro pockets of air that has been trapped within the ice. There is some hocus pocus to determine the time frame of the ice core sections. There are variables. There are anomalies. But they can get pretty close to determining the historical era of a section of an ice core. Cut a chunk out, put it in an air tight container, melt the ice, measure the air composition. Not sure how one can accurately measure modest temperature fluctuations that occurred in the 14th century.

As was stated by others the Paris Agreement was not so much about climate change as it was about wealth distribution from the U.S. to other countries.
I do believe we should do what we can to reduce pollution. I don't believe that moving billions of dollars from the U.S. to the U.N. or some other international organization will have anything to do with reducing pollution.
As to the possibility of human CO2 contributions having a significant effect on the Earth's climate, if you believe that I have this bridge ...

Now, how does anyone know this? Did we find a Neanderthal with science papers in their pockets? Just as Mike said, its an old device called a core drill. Similar to trees and the ocean floor [ which is also used to tell weather history] there are rings/layers that are used as a time line. This has been done for decades and real scientists/researchers have a pretty good time line of earths weather history. People also learned about the properties of mercury quite a while ago and figured out that it made a pretty good thermometer. Temp records were kept back then. The first thermometers were of air and water and somehow could be used to determine temp differences. Apparently some pretty smart fellas were able to figure out pretty close what the temps were then. Today some of these dramatic folks are saying a change of 2-4º will be catastrophic. Our world has been a lot colder and a lot hotter than just a few degrees. The Little Ice Age lasted for centuries. The weather changed and the temperature dropped 8-12º [depending on what research you read or where the records are from] in a very short amount of time. Some still think we are just coming out of it. In this country in New England the years 1815 and 16 were called the years without summer. Crops failed and thousands died from starvation. It was cold and rainy and it snowed every month except for July. There wasn't much industrialization back then so my question is just what did humans do at that time to cause those changes. I think it was Mother Nature throwing one of her hissy fits. An asteroid can hit [ there have been several] and throw the earths rotation/axis off a couple degrees or a volcano can erupt and spew ash for a month over a thousand miles causing years of weather change. I can't wait until the CO2 levels rise to the higher historic levels. I'm looking forward to having palm trees in New York. I've been studying this since the new ice age hysteria of the late 60s early 70s.

The first minute in this, TED talk, Christiana Figueres who led the COP 21 climate talks in Paris and is the executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change admits that 197 countries came together to change the world economy in order to protect smaller nations. Her job when hired was to get nations to sign on to the Paris agreement. She goes on to say how she actually got a plan, and implemented it so everyone would sign on. She also admits in the video that this accord once implemented is indeed legally binding. Begin the TED video: UN Official Admits That Climate Change Used As A Ruse To Control The World’s Economy https://www.ted.com/talks/christiana_figueres_the_inside_story_of_the_paris_climate_agreement"This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history“, Ms Figueres stated at a press conference in Brussels" If you listen to the next video you will hear this Mary Robinson: Why climate change is a threat to human rights In the video she says this: "The average US citizen emits about 17.5 metric tons of CO2 in Malaui in Africa each citizen emits about 80 kilograms" Their straw man or false flag is CO2 and why the US has to pay or any industrial nation has to pay. No fact, no figure, admittance of intentional misleading for different reasons and purposes, sounds exactly like health care. This is why the liberal/progressive agenda is so hated. They take the normal person caring about a subject, distort, lie and cloud the facts so as to benefit themselves. Then yell and insult you if you dont follow them when the truth becomes known. There are always people who will not know the truth and will not dig into a subject for themselves essentially believing the talking heads. Then there are people who want to know and do the research and find the truth. So the unknowing and the knowing, clash, sound familiar, that is how to divide a country. All instigated by lies, false flags, false social causes that even cloud the truth so some cannot grasp it.

Unless you hold a PhD in related fields (climatology, chemistry, etc), implying that the science of weather changes published in peer reviewed journals is wrong is just... foolish. And in today's political "climate", are you absolutely sure that the PHake Doctor's aren't politically motivated, or seeking to continue their employment by "going along to "get along".
Having 'an opinion' won't change the reality of the universe or the science that try to explain it.
I can have an opinion that '2 + 2 = 5'. Or that the weather is as good as it ever was and we can't do anything to improve the life conditions in this planet. I would still be wrong.
Even in the possibility that those weather changes are coming no matter what, we owe to the future generations to at least try to fix the problem. What problem, if the weather changes are coming to no matter what?
Yes, that may mean changes in our lifestyle. But it is our kids that will inherit the future.

Another example of how us humans effect the planet is that 2 days after 911 the amount of sunlight that hit the earth increased by a small but significant amount.... why you ask did 911 have this effect? No Jets in the air..... the amount of exhaust contrails caused by air travel actually effects the amount of sunlight that reaches the earth. So, if we lessen air travel, it should then make the planet WARMER, as more heat is reaching the earth
Earth is a machine, Almost like our beloved Valks... when things are out of balance- think carbs- it doesn't run right. Right now the Earth is more out of balance than it eve has been- someone said just plant more trees... problem is WE are the ones that cut them all down to feed the all us new humans . Yet we are replacing 2 for 1 and only using fast growth trees nowadays.
Prior to 1810, CO2 never got to the levels we are at now in the last 800,000 years per ice core samples. How many Volcanic eruptions have occurred in the last 800,000 years?
So to say humans have not had an effect on out planet is just plain wrong.....tanstaafl . Not NO effect, minimal effect.
The Paris Accord is to try and level and reduce the amount of green house gasses WE produce through our lifestyle- And to help prevent 3rd World countries from starting to produce those same gases... there were only 2 countries that did not agree this was a good thing....Nope, it is a redistribution scam,..... "Enable rich countries to help poorer nations by providing "climate finance" to adapt to climate change and switch to renewable energy"
Yes China is One of the top 3 worst - along with US So, misleading. Of course the US is up there, because we have one of the largest populations. There are tiny countries where you can't even drink the water and don't make the list because because their population is miniscule in comparison. Why not compare apples to apples and say that the "production" of CO2, in relation to it's population, is close to the best in the world? Much more accurate.... but at there current level of spending on renewable energy, they will be way ahead of us in limiting their use of coal and other fossil fuels in the next 10-20 years Nope, according to the agreement, China doesn't have to do anything for another 17 years, 2030, while presently, our "production" of Co2 in still decreasing while China's is increasing.... giving their economy more money to spend on Importing OUR goods (and more money for "defense" spending)at their current rate of investing in solar panels alone they could control the market in the production and sales of solar panels in the next 5 years..
One last point- The agreements in Paris were based on prior treaties-
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which was negotiated at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, approved by the U.S. Senate with no opposition and signed by President George H.W. Bush. Not sure "Climate Change" even existed in 1992. Climate change is a fictitious term invented to circumvent the cooler years after the term Global Warming was made up.
Yes Republicans agreed that we were effecting the climate...25 YEARS AGO!!! See above
I will stop here...... Im going out to burn some fossil fuel in the best way. Have fun!

When it comes to all to all this I have a hard time getting by one fact. Out of all the Co2 in the atmosphere man produces at the most 2% of it.
