Getting ready to roll out.

For our annual big trip. Last 12 yrs its been to Sturgis and further west. Last yr was the best trip ever when we went to Sturgis, Yellowstone, and Glacier. Awesome time. This yr we are not going to Sturgis.  I am truly sad as I wont get to see friends out there and along the way. Been bothering me the last week or 2. But this yr we are doing a trip to the Grand Canyon for 3 nights instead. Leaving the night of the 27th and return 11th or 12th of Aug. 9 States with 4 new ones for me. Gonna stop in Kansas and see Valkhound and then Colorado for 2 nights. Some of Utah and wind thru New Mexico and Texas and up thru Oklahoma after the Grand Canyon.
Stopping at a lot of State Parks and little stuff along the way. Taking our time, 300ish miles/ day, just to see stuff. Also doing a helicopter ride over the canyon. Im to fat to ride a mule. 

Been planning this since Nov and read a lot of books.

Maybe you should be writing books instead of reading them. Sounds like you have adventures and tales to tell.

Plenty of water, your going to hot parts of our great nation. Be sure to drink water, wear long sleeves and wet them often. this is what Kendall and Des thought me and wife when riding Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Have a safe ride my friend
