Get a better seat so you don't have to wear the same pants every time you ride.

Not padded bicycle shorts, but tried some neoprene (compression) shorts. Toooooo Hot!
Same deal with Underarmor boxer (microfiber) shorts.
No moisture wicking takes place on a big fat black vinyl bike seat, you just sit in a puddle of hot sweat.
Might be OK in winter temps.
Better seats, Airhawk cushions, sheep skins, beads are better solutions.
BTW, gel (on your shorts or in your bike seat) retains heat.
Also, try as I might, I could never make full mesh pants work in the heat either, even after I cut the liner out (they're almost all black, which is a bad color for heat). They cooked me, and let much more direct engine heat in than heavy jeans.
My best solution to a dry comfortable bottom in hot weather is to wear baggy jeans. Up on the hwy pegs, the heavy jean legs stay open to the wind, fill the legs with air like balloons and aerate your hiney. I also stand on the boards from time to time to blow the hot air out of my clothes.

I have anultimate seat and my ass has never liked it also had a corbin that was ok but prefer the riding position of the ultimate. I have seriously thought about buying those shorts with thebuilt in gel pads. So when others tell you to get a different seat, it's kinda hit and miss. I trusted when some told me to get a ultimate and I would never think about my ass hurting again. WRONG!

They are expensive, but the Russell is the only way to go in my opinion.

There was and is a corbin on my bike when I got it. Its got to be the hardest thing I have ever sat on. I had a airhawk for my bikes in Kentucky so the last time I was up I brought it back.... It make a world of difference for comfort. we rode last sunday(250 miles) and my but never got tired, hot but not tired or soar. I have used a bead rider in the past and it works really good for airflow when its hot.

Oh man, hate to bring this up. For the hot weather sweaty wetness....use some cornstarch baby powder in shorts and socks. Ken

I though baby power gave you cancer and your balls fell off. I used to dump it down my pants. Came out of the restroom with white powder all over my fly.

sheep skin seat cover, works the best
100% cotton shorts one of the worst things to wear.
60/40 cotton shorts are the way to go. same for shirts.
50/50 better for cooler/colder weather.

after many purchases--you can find some motocross underwear that have a nice thick shammy in the crotch that is crucial for long distance riding on a bicycle or motorcycle with also crucial armor for the tailbone and hip--a size bigger pant and comfort and safety is yours
