Tsukayu, and mounted back past the rear fender.  More than enough to clear the rear (aftermarket) guard bar (which is wider than anything I've ever seen before).

Looks to me the odd placement of the bags is a result of the use of those odd rear crash bars.

You (most surely) have seen semi-tractor/trailers on the highway that have those folding tail ends for aerodynamics?   Well, that's got to be the answer to this placement of the bags.    Increased fuel mileage????

OK, maybe not but, it's the best I could come up with...............  Wink

It does cause me to raise an eyebrow if I'm looking to buy something and the seller can't answer a simple technical question such as engine size.

It really concerns me when a guy can't answer such simple questions about his bike.  Shocked
