I needed a good laugh and old Carol Burnett videos do it every time. I love watching those two, how Tim keeps a straight face is beyond me, he cracks up everybody on the set. His Old Man routine makes me feel like a speed demon, when I do it with the grandkids they roll on the floor laughing. Their moms...my daughters...just sit and shake their heads. They've already been there....but they still get a laugh out of it.  2funny

Need to watch the video at home (not here at work).

I too remember Tim Conways comedy. Like you said, he could keep a straight face but the rest of the crew, Harvey Corman, Carol Burnet, etc.. couldn't.

Tim was on Johnny Carson show one night. He told Johnny that he and Harvey had a standing bet on who could make the other laugh. Johnny asked him how that went and Tim said let's just say Harvey put my kids through college. Grin

I remember as a kid watching them on TV and even at say age 4-7, loved them even then as a youngster.  Comedy does not do it much for me nowadays on TV like it did way back then.

It's a shame we probably won't see good clean comedy like that again on the networks.

Just pulling your leg a bit. My youngest is fussing about a couple things that happened to her recently; in the same day she found she now has to use reading glasses and the mail brought an invitation to join AARP.  She's into her 49th year so when #50 hits, look out....old dad has some plans.  Wink

As for reaching 80, you never know. One thing to keep in mind is quite simple; the type of life you lead as a young person(your personal habits), has a huge impact on the type and quality of life you'll have as you age. Obviously not a guarantee of old age, but up to that point it impacts the quality of those later years. For me, heart problems is one of the things I inherited. Although I'm adopted, I did find out a few things re. family history and that was one of them. With today's medical advancements I've been able to overcome it....so far. I'll turn 80 in a few months and nobody is more surprised than I....and thankful.  cooldude

I truthfully can Not remember a skit where Tim Conway did Not crack up Harvey Corman. I vaguely remember Conway being on Carson's show bout Corman paying Conway's kids college tuition. One of Conway's biggest problems according to Corman was-very rarely did practice ever match what was put out on air. Thinkin Corman said Tim adlibbed-a LOT. Don't know if they did But imagine Tim Conway and Robbin Williams on Carson together. I do Know Williams and Johnathan Winters were on Carson together and I near blew a gasket laughing. Lotsa supposedly "funny folks" these days believe you have to curse to be funny. Many of us here KNOW dat ain't the case. RIDE SAFE.
