I wish that were typical.  The SUV driver reminds me of Gryphon (another member here, not my Valkyrie).

that scenario will rarely happen in the U.S. with the cage stopping to make sure the cyclists is o.k.

just wish that old lady would have done the same for me when she pulled out in front of me in same exact situation but I slowed down well ahead since could see she NEVER looked my direction pulling out right in front of me left hand turn just like this video me doing 60mph.  If I was going same 60mph I would be dead vs. slowing down well ahead of time doing 40 mph and braking HARD at the end.

I see the physical resemblance, although the accent is wrong.  I am usually very aware of 2 wheeled vehicles, but I have been surprised once or twice because of a rapid lane change or such.
