About a year and a half ago I bought a Husky oil less air compressor. It quit while changing out the car tires.  I thought it was a 90 day warranty. I pulled the capacitors and had them tested. It has a bad (defective) motor. Went on line and motor was not listed. I did this after the motor shop would not work on it. Junk it he said. Husky would not do anything without the receipt.
Talked to the hardware manager at Home Depot , told the story , and went to the store with the old compressor. He gave me my money back on the compressor. I purchased a piston type. He told me to keep the old compressor as the unit has a two year warranty on it. He suggested I call Husky again and push the issue.  It is a next week call. uglystupid2

Good customer relations go a long way........if you can find them, these days. I think word of mouth is the best PR a company can get. Great to hear these kinds of stories.
Jess Tolbirt, you got me to thinkin. I bought a Craftsmen oil less compressor in '92. Right after we bought our 1st house. Still going strong today. Just got done snoopervising my son putting on the snow tires on my Ranger

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

Campbell Hausfield USED to have a plant just east of Springfield Mo off of I-44 that manufactured the tanks. Loaded up the tanks-all different sizes-and took them to one of the main plants in Kentucky. Back then-I don't Know bout now-but then 20 25 years ago?-all American made. RIDE SAFE.
