A Great day and a great ride.. Five intrepid souls made it down to Sophias for some NYD Mexican fare.
Pictures of lunch will follow as soon as Ron gets home...

Wait a minute was that not a camera you were taking pictures with today? What is the deal?  :)

Well it was a great ride today and really nice weather. Here are the pics

The bikes involved in the crime

The riders involved in the crime well at least some of them the others didn't get caught.

The stop before the crime

The crime, all evidence was consumed

Happy 2018 everyone !!

I'm glad there was at least one Valkyrie to represent the group (maybe it has dwindled to a handful that are left)  on the NYD ride.
Anyways, thanks to Tom we had a very interesting ride.  Most of my trips through GB have been on the way to somewhere else and we always had a deadline.  This time we took the back roads through the farm and rural  back country.  We went through  Liberty, Buckeye, Palo Verde, Arlington and other highlights.  We stopped at the Gillespe Dam where the old Bridge was.  We saw acres of solar arrays, rode Old Highway 80 into GB thru the back door.

Came back to Mesa through Maricopa and Sacaton.

A good day of riding.

Good seeing the guys and thanks again , Tom!

Do you have a map to show the roads you took? I would be very interested in seeing how you got to GB and back. I have only gone the regular way (I-10 & I-8) and as said, on the way to somewhere else.

Big Tom 10628:
We left Surprise and took the 303 to the end, then Cotton Lane to MC 85. Took that to Phx Bypass 85 then to Hazen Rd to S Wilson Ave. took that to Old US Hwy 80. OLd US 80 will bring you down to Pima St. just East of the Space Diner..
