Operation Condor

We have all seen or heard about the movie Operation Condor with Robert Redford.

 But what if this movie about political oppression through the intelligence community and subverting elections through this same surveillance happened right here in the US. It seems this is the real story not the Russian interference and collusion since there was none and was probably a smoke screen for this. It happened right before our eyes and we didn't even see it and yet most on one side of the political spectrum knew it. It was the decisions and maybe collusion that had been playing out in our government. Even to secret information for presidential eyes only was given out to many in the government.

Its very interesting how this all started to unfold when one man understood that the security of our nation was at risk and intelligence information was being used inappropriately. Its also the steps NSA director Mike Rogers took to protect himself against a attack in going public and warning Trump of the spying. This is how Trump knew that he was being spied on when all the news media boohoo the claim and he moved his campaign headquarters.

Now this is not in national news except to say there are ongoing investigations that most Americans wont understand, but when the different threads are put together as here then the full wickedness of what has happened is clear and laid out.

The aftermath and investigation is still playing out today we have the ability to watch and learn what corruption and personal interest in government look like coupled along with special privileged. We see the players and what their role is in all this and what is at stake for them personally.

The story starts below and is a classic thriller that we are living out today, but first some background.

Operation Condor was a campaign of political repression and state terror involving intelligence operations and assassination of opponents, which started in 1968 and was officially implemented in 1975 by the right-wing dictatorships of the Southern Cone of South America. The program was nominally intended to eradicate communist or Soviet influence and ideas, and to suppress active or potential opposition movements against the participating governments' neoliberal economic policies, which sought to reverse the economic policies of the previous era.

I'd be shocked if nothing like that HAS been going on here. I've thought for years (8 or more) that the Executive branch has been blackmailing conservative congressmen to be inert by threatening to expose financial and personal details. Kennedy is known to have used threats of an IRS audit to get folks to vote his way, is it a stretch that he'd have to have advance notice of what would be found in such an audit in order to make the threat in the first place? Now we know about congressional slush fund payments to cover settlements for sexual impropriety in both parties. Those in charge of maning those payments could absolutely pass that info on to the Executive branch to threaten to have a private party leak it to the press "if needed". While it's certainly possible that over the last 8 years that Republicans in the House & Senate shoved sticks up their OWN butts to stand around like mannequins in DC, I find it more believable that outside forced helped push them

Amazing how it is beginning to look like this Buck Starts and will likely Stop at the threshold of the Obama Whitehouse Door. We all know that this is just the tip of the Icegerg. I guess that some of you guys think that it is a bit weird that a Canadian is so interested in all this...but I have never read a spy novel with this many twists and this much intrigue. I am pretty sure that Lefty Democrat Leaning Hollywood is going to shy away from putting this thriller on the Silver Screen!! CNN and the rest of the DNC Media are now spinning the narrative that Trump is mentally unfit for office...and a large share of the population is buying it...sad.
This all begs the Question...how much of this would have been exposed if Hillary had been elected...My guess is that Admiral Rogers would be in the same jackpot as Michael Flynn.

I never watched the movie, but I'm afraid that most of Americans are not truly aware of what the Condor operation was.

Teachers, students, journalists, small farmers, priests, workers and everyone else that was seen as against the dictatorships in Brazil/Argentina/Uruguay/Chile/etc were murdered.

The children (if babies) would be sold to families that wanted to adopt and used as a way to coerce the ones that were captured and kept alive/tortured for getting intelligence on possible targets. If older (say, over 3 years), sent to state orphanages and raised in sub-human conditions. If old enough to understand what happened (7-10), just got killed.

Estimated number of deaths is about 60,000 (I would say probably more like 100,000).

The families couldn't even bury their dead, as they were 'disappeared' according to the government.

I was just a kid but I recall the adults whispering about it.

So, no, unless there is a huge pile of 100,000 dead men/women/children in multiple mass graves rotting somewhere in this country, there is no freaking way that surveillance can be compared to it (that goes to the author of the article).

I read an operation condor article yesterday.  Most of it I already new thanks to the great work or Sarah Carter at Circa, John Solomon at The Hill, Greg Jarrett at Fox, and others.  The Admiral Rogers part was new to me as was Trump, after meeting with Rogers, moving his headquarters to New Jersey, now realizing he indeed was being, as he called it wire tapped.

Savago while the numbers are not anywhere near 100k I don't think, there are more than a few that have disappeared or killed. In this position it was not necessary since you take out the ones that have the ability to harm you at a higher level and that is enough. There is no proof just as in your case but when people go missing or die with no apparent cause its always questionable just as in your case.
