It appears photobucket are starting to see $399 a year is to much for forum posters

"
Hello David,

We would like to offer a tailored plan for users just like you - our Premium plan for $99.99 / year.

The Premium plan will provide 3rd party hosting for non-commercial use on your forums, blogs, and personal websites*. Additionally, you will be able to store up to 300,000 photos.

We are working on some exciting changes for 2018. This is our exclusive introductory price and this offer will expire in 7 days."

Still dearer the plan I was on @ $25 a year (used to exceed there free option traffic so had to be on a plan)

I wonder how far they keep dropping to retain people? or if that is it?

They would need to make it free for me to go back. Too many other free picture hosting sites to waste money on theirs.

You can get a full blown webhost for less than that...

(Granted, you'd then have to have the technical expertise to run it, but still... sheesh...)

I guess photobuckets business plan to sell you their services just wasn’t cutting the mustard. I know I never used their printing services and so forth.

Ive got the issue that I have several thousand images that I have no other copy of after both a hard drive fail and computer fail... I may have some of them on old cumputers but far from all, I managed to download some when it was easy.....but F them they changed the system of down loading...

I was on $25 a year for lots more storage and user traffc....But I am not paying 4x the price

I have set up another free site but just not had time to test it yet Smiley

you should get an external hard drive. I use one that is 1TB and has all my music and pictures on it. Also load all my important documents on it and keep another in my buddies gun safe just as a backup. I should really get a lock box from the bank but what are the chances of both mine and my buddies house being destroyed at the same time?

Had one, it failed..... and I didn't get to back up the pics from the computer to the new hard drive before the computer failed.... I have had one more laptop die since then too, had most backed up but I lost a fair few riding video's I thought I backed up......but no just the folder, it was empty on the backup drive, I should back up the back up....but not done that yet, I have a firesafe gun safe that I should put the second back up in.
