No I'll not do it. However, I do support the friends of the NRA. So in the long run the NRR indirectly gets a couple 100 out of me every year.

Screw the NRA, I'm joining the NNA (National Nuclear Association). A truly patriotic organization that recognizes "ARMS is ARMS" and the second amendment says we can have em. Indeed, need them to protect this great country agin freaking Feds and Commie Democrats who'll think trice before coming for this angry old man and Walter Mitty wannabe when I finally have my personal low yield nuclear delivery device. God Bless this country, the NNA and President Bone Spurs.

... Do you think the current no-compromise line against gun all gun control remains effective? Maybe a more important question is do you really believe that increasing the criminality of obtaining certain weaponry will further limit any determined criminal activity? Another question might be do you believe that an AR-15 in semi-automatic mode can kill any more people than almost any hunting rifle? If you do you now nothing of weaponry much like many lawmakers. Six minutes. Fourteen dead, seventeen injured in a crowd of over three thousand? I'm a trained Marine. I don't want to say what I could or couldn't do. I've had a friend ordered to psychiatric care for doing so. I will say the criminal was not an accomplished gunner. Was was done could have easily been done, and more, with a single shot bolt action weapon. Is the answer to make it more difficult for law abiders to obtain bolt action hunting weapons? I am ready to concede that if we could somehow remove 100% of all firearms in this country we could significantly reduce the number of gun related murders. I think the chances of success are slim. It remains that the best (most effective) response to bad guys with guns is good guys with guns. Anything else is spitting into the wind. Imagine what the damage would be if the crazies' used a 12 gauge pump with 00 Buckshot. Maybe they should take them away from us too. It never ends.

Exactly, if it is not with guns it will be with knives, if not with knives it will be with hammers. It will never stop. It is already with guns and cars. You never hear them talk about taking cars away. Ever....

I am going to add my unsolicited opinion on the whole "we can own anything, up to and including nuclear, bio,and chem weapons."
Now, before anyone gets on the "there were no wmd's when the Constitution was written", let me say that crude bio weapons were used in medieval times.
With that said, here is my opinion. Weapons such as those allow a small group (or 1 person) to effect change to a government. Firearms and even cannons require a large majority (overwhelming numbers, like voting) to effect change. That is the true reason for the right to bear arms. For the 2nd Amendment to be effective against tyranny, it would require a large number of citizens. The Founding Fathers obviously had a lot of foresight.

Why did Rosa Parks NEED to sit in the front of the bus? The back is safer. Both get you there.
Answer that, and I'll answer why we need a semi-auto.
