I’m pretty set on the DR650. The 2018 models sell for $6599 but I’ve got the dealer to come down to $5649.i hope to go there tomorrow and see if they will take my wife’s 2011 VStar 650 as a trade in at a decent price. Hopefully I can come out with the bike for $3500 plus the trade.

Make sure when you sit on this or any other that you can reach the floor ESPECIALLY if one side is lower than the other.

The only times I fell off my KLR was when I wasn't moving and couldn't reach the ground with a foot. It WILL happen you just need to try to minimize why.

If set on a suzuki dr650,  this one popped up locally 4K for what appears good condition seems somewhat reasonable to me?????

DR650 has a factory lowering kit avail.

I would take a look at the honda's also.  We have had MANY xl's over the years.  200, 250, 650 etc. They run forever, can be found in great condition used and if your heart is set on new, the 250 rally is a sweet bike!!!!

And YES, the vfr1200x is CRAZY but I love V4's!!!!!
