I would challenge you to show where anyone predicted that Obama or the Democrats were going to take our guns away.  The statements I remember is that they would try to move down the road to taking away guns.  That they didn't succeed in no way negates the correctness of the concerns.

Of course, if your govt was going to ignore, invalidate, legislate, erode our 2d amendment to the point of confiscation of certain classes of firearms (or all of them) (without revoking or amending the 2d Amend), ignoring, invalidating, eroding the Posse Comitatus Act could be expected to follow.

But I agree, the US military would not happily get involved in door to door confiscation.  

And the actual troops in the field would quickly sour on door to door fighting in neighborhoods and farms across America, even if they won every engagement.  And might be expected to claim unlawful orders.

There is no such restriction limiting State and Federal police forces, but I think they would get tired of assaulting Americans too.  

A recent Harvard/Northwestern University joint study estimates that America's 319 million citizens own about 265 million guns today.  It is believed a small percentage own large numbers of guns.  That's still a lot of houses.  Some will surrender, many will not.

In fairness I did say "or the Democrats" but that quote, if you had read the post, was a projection of what he speculated would happen if Clinton were elected.  She wasn't.  That negates the if.  I don't think that qualifies as a prediction.

I read the post and it is clearly a prediction Clinton was going to take guns away from law abiding folks who need protection from unrestrained immigrants let in by Obama.  Again, you dared me and I found it.  It was a foolish dare. That's the point. Dems are trying to take them away.look at all the bills now to ban guns. Dems are pushing them. Period.

all of Trumps decisions are based on self interest because like I said he has profound emotional issues.  His administration is a incestous snake pit of corruption with ties to Russia.  The reason he fires people is they won't take an oath of allegiance to him above all others.  He will not be satisfied until he is surrounded by a cadre of yes men.  I predict a constitutional crisis if not an attempted coup before or at the end of his administration.

I figure I have better odds than  a take away guns prediction.   At best I don't believe Trump will vacate office gracefully like all our past presidents.  He will be complaining about rigged elections and how he actually would have gotten 70% of the popular vote probably won't even show up for his successors inauguration but be hiding out in the WH refusing to leave. I HOPE none of this happens. I was only an engineer but even I am perceptive enough to see the whole administration is dysfunctional, a laughingstock and primarily devoted to self enrichment.  He's breaking the GOP.  If you want to read I suggest you do a Google search. Lots of peer reviewed articles about Trump and the good folks who voted for him in respected journals.

I watch absolute zero news on television.  I want news and not angry, sad or biased talking heads. Don't even watch local tv news anymore.  The conclusion is my own gained from watching what Trump is saying and doing. I don't know  wether or not trump colluded.  Where there is smoke there is likely fire.  Certainly those around and close to him are involved with unethical dealings. The only investigation that matters one iota is the Mueller investigation.  Any GOP or Democrat investigation will have forgone conclusions.  When Mueller's is done I am as certain I will believe the results as I am certain some will deny whatever results may be found. Many, including Trump will  say it is a setup or the deep state, or even Clintons doings. Trump is pathologically unable to accept criticism. Cornered, he may do great damage.  Again I say I HOPE I'm wrong but recent and past events make me believe otherwise.  Having access to the British documents Tillerson certainly believed so.  

Found this in just a few seconds."They create chaos and then she will institute marshall law, confiscate the guns to stop the law abiding men from protecting the woman and children from the demons hillary and obama have let in."   I'm not an NRA cult member and don't worship the second amendment either as you probably guessed.  The idea a handful or even a large minority of civilian gun owners can stop the government from doing what they want or have to do is just silly.  When push comes to shove the Gmen have tanks, aircraft and armed drones.  Your guns they will have if that's what they want.  Of course it won't come to that because when the armed police come to the door of these folks most will meekly surrender their guns in spite of all the braggadocio.  The NRA is powerful but things change in time.  I think you need to have a greater fear of that happening from someone who wants to be King or President for life.

The body man was fired for financial mis-dealings for which he lost his security clearance. Just one in a long line. A "body man" is normally a valet and yes presidents have them to take care of much of the minutiae of a busy life.  In Trumps case he probably kept the golf scheduled and the clubs at the ready.

Hmmm, for someone that doesn't "watch the news", you sure seem to track President Trump's movements and seem to follow the "Liberal Media's" view points.   It's still a free country, do and vote as you wish.  

I'm not an NRA member nor am I a Trump fan.   I do like the direction he's trying to take us but, Candidate Trump got my vote because, he survived the primary process,  The Dems gave me no other option.   I'll most likely be joining the NRA because they see the value of the 2nd Amendment as I do.   Nope, don't currently own a weapon of any kind and most surely have no use for a semi-auto military look alike rifle or what Liberals call an assualt rifle.    I know of no military on the planet that possess such a limited "assault" weapon but, what ever............  

I also think the current movement to limit procuring or purchasing such a weapon will never stand up in court in that it's not any different than most other semi-auto rifles except it looks like a military style weapon.   I simply don't understand how anyone thinks an 18 year old is old enough to maturely decide who to vote for in an election or, serve in our military and yet be denied our 2nd Amendment rights.    I see a lot of problems in our society but the vast majority will never be solved by more legislation but, could be addressed by more conservative parenting.    

Liberals have been trying most of my life to reduce my 2nd Amendment rights to defend myself, my family and my property.   All of their attempts (if achieved) will only succede in making me into a criminal.   Last estimate I heard was that there's over three hundred million weapons in the US, anyone that thinks I need to buy a weapon from a store is simply not being realistic.   Same goes for any person under 21.    Legislating against those under 21 is pretty stupid IMHO, it won't do squat to stop someone intent to do harm.   AR 15s simply look like a military weapon, they are not more efficient than any other semi-auto.    

Parenting is one of the hardest jobs in the world (if you're trying to do it right).    Every Liberal parent I ever knew was more interested in being their kid's friend then being a parent.   Either that or, they simply don't give a damn how their offspring turn out.   Your guess is as good as mine.

I told my wife last night, after hearing that Tillerson sided with the British condemning Russia for the nerve gas attack on their soil that if Trump disagreed with him and defended Russia, that it would remove all doubt in my mind that Putin has compromising information and is blackmailing the president.  He went even further. Probably the video of the hookers doing what the former British agent said they did. Make no mistake, Trump is a a psychopath and will destroy the country to save his own skin.
