We get granite at the quarry around here, crusher-run, gravel, "twos and threes"... "twos and threes"
are a mix of stuff all the way from dust to a little bigger than fist size.

Carolyn went to the quarry and got 1.25 tons of twos and threes and I placed them
in a rut out on the dirt road we share with a couple of our neighbors.

Then she got another ton or so of crusher-run, and I placed that on top of
the "twos and threes"... all in all we paid about $25 for the material... it
makes for an awesome patch...

Now my hair is three dimensional...

I think those lazy guys who run the blasting department at the quarry should
also have to come and place the material  :cooldude:

I'm going back to Laurens in the morning, the guy at the Honda shop
there is going to let me ride a new Valkyrie  :)

;D  ;D I'm just guessing you are referring to the Oconee County quarry.... I've been there to help on a few shots.(itis186milesfrommyhouse) You should travel a bit farther to Liberty and buy some rock that a real professional shot.  :cooldude: I still thank you for your support.  ;)

Cost me $450.00 for 21 1/2 tons of # 57 ... He would have spread them but I just had them dumped so I could put them in the spots I needed it most.... Who got a better deal ?

- Joe -   Sure wish I had told the dude to spread them and my hair would never look like that.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

She went back to the quarry today... but there will be no 3d hair...

Thats a pretty good price for delivered. I get #57 from the quarry near Greenback and it's about $13/ton when I haul it myself. I can only haul about 5 tons at a time with my trailer so with fuel I'm not saving a lot.  Other than being able to spread exactly how I want (usually).

From an old bald guy's perspective, if I had BIG hair, I'd wear it like that every day (just to make all the other old bald guys jealous).    :cooldude:

I'll be out back buzzing mine off before the ride down.  Never get the back just right doing it blind.... and don't care one bit.  LOL

When I let it grow too long, I run out to the base where a cut is now up to $9 .... it used to be $3.50.  (it's not like a buzz cut takes any time or great skill.)    Who's next!!

I always enjoy going to the base barber shop.  There's always a number of ancient retirees with 35 hairs left getting a high and tight.  Hard to break old habits.  And all those Korean ladies are cute and flirt with you (and rub your ears).

I'll be near by at the Vulcan Liberty quarry tomorrow or I should say after while......I have to get up at 2:30 am to be there by 6:00 am..... Stop in Mike I keep 3 shovels in my truck and I'm sure one of them will fit your hands.  ;D  ;)

Here's the part of the patch that was done... a truck load of "twos and threes" covered by
a truck load of crusher-run... and today's load of crusher-run that finished the job...

Sinkhead...

Hey, Floyd was the barber in Mayberry.  Is he your barber (must be about 120yo)?

I just call it Floyds... I like it there... lots of old magazines, and there's a lot of
talking about hunting and fishing...

I'm guessing here... it probably didn't load, and you think I took it off... Clemson's web server
is not the most studly computer ever made, in fact, its a virtual computer... it (or the stack it
runs on) has a memory leak or something. I'm not part of the group that runs it, so I'm kind
of guessing too, but it gets slower and slower and then they reboot it, and then the
cycle starts again...

From 1993 until about two months ago I used a web server called "hubcap.clemson.edu"...
that one always worked  ;) ...

Well Mike, my last hair cut was $13.00. That was quite a few years ago, and I was in the chair for about 2 minutes. That was when I said I'm done with the barber. I shave my head 3 times a week and have to shave every day anyway for my job. Then I'm all pretty!    It is a PIA but If I had to get a couple of hair cuts a month I like the money better.
