Noticed I have some chunks of rubber missing on the shifter peg. Any replacement or buy the whole shifter assembly?

Part # 24781-KR3-770. It's only a couple of bucks. This is for a '97 Tourer.  http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Motorcycle/1997/GL1500CT+A/PEDAL/parts.html

Check on BigBF's website on how to modify the shifter to use any aftermarket shifter peg with a bolt on peg.

My brother drilled and tapped mine (after cutting off the shifter peg) and fitted a Kuryakin piece.

If you can get it to slide off with the help of some soap, turn it around putting the bad end toward the engine. I still ended up replacing it.
