I would appreciate a bit of help on this, thus the post on the general board rather than the tech board. I'm seeking a worker for compensation, as I'm inept at mechanical skills apparently. Need either recommendation for a reasonable priced motorcycle mechanic or someone in the forum who knows how to turn a wrench. Thanks in advance, read below if you want to know what's happening.
I bought a 97 F6 last fall and only ridden it around 150 miles. It didn't like the cold fall weather and it didn't run great (three cylinders didn't run at times). So, cleaned the carbs and put new spark plugs in and reassembled--ran on idle prior to reassembly during test. Yesterday, it ran idle after putting the gas tank on, but the instant I gave it just a bit of throttle, it stopped. Repeat and repeat and this morning it didn't want to start at all. Battery charger was on it between efforts. I'm out of ideas and not mechanically inclined to begin with so am seeking help.

I'm in Logansport and would love to help you out , I just happen to be extremely busy , but if you are willing and there is any way to get it to my shop , I would work on it in between jobs. I'll send you a PM with my number and you can text me.I also have a Digi-sync and can sync the carbs.

I can also vouch for my son Mark. He has 20k in tools, two motorcycle lifts, digisync, etc. Three car garage. He has worked on my Valkyrie, my 750 Nighthawk, my Magna, and my VStrom, both of my Miatas, my Mazda Six, installed a supercharger on my past Toyota, and helped me put a sidecar on the Valkyrie. He's changed engines in my oldest son's Pacific Coast (not an easy task with all the Tupperwear). This is a blatant sales talk on the part of his ole man,

Thanks Steve. I'm glad I could help get your bike up and running like it's supposed to. Let me know when you are ready to do the tires. Let me know if there is anything else you need. Enjoy the ride. In my opinion you are riding the best cruiser ever built.

that is tempting to join for the ride. Got four young kids at home and don't know if my wife would be thrilled at my absence for three days. I've offered to get mopeds for the older kids so we could all cycle together, but it didn't go over well.
