Friday afternoon on 12 in Louisiana , traffic was heavy after Baton Rouge ,after a shower all was clearing up but then quickly came to a halt tryed to veer right to miss the car in front but the trailer pushed me .Felt the push from behind as the I/s hit the ground we scraped the road a while then it flipped over and continued traveling to the ditch . It was the first trip with the trailer ,guess I could have used more training. I ll miss seeing everyone at Inzane.

That sucks!  Are you OK?

I recently purchased my 01 IS mainly because it came with a nice matching trailer.  I'll be doing some local practice runs with the trailer loaded up before heading out on the road with it.

From experience, being able to tell the story is a bonus.
Hope there is minimal healing to do.
By the description, maybe not so for the bike. Sad

Hope you are OK sorry to hear you went down.  I have never driven I bike with a trailer I find it hard enough to pull a trailer in an SUV.

I actually had a close call yesterday and it scared the crap out of me.

I stopped and looked several times you can see how long I waited at the stop before proceeding I never saw the jeep until it almost hit me.  It was a very bad viability turn!

It has been a long week end with broken ribs and broken flesh but not bad enough to go to hospital .tryed one of those walk in clinics but after looking at the paper work ,just walked out. 2funny
The progressive guy was here yesterday looks as if I can get a fair amount for the I/S .don t think I ll buy it back ,just be content with the tourer which is a better bike anyhow crazy2

I’m glad to hear the update. It’s probably worth for time and money to get seen by a doctor. Even slight road rash can get infected. Hopefully you got none.

#1-Find out what the buy out price will be, there are LOTS of parts on there!!! Especially if you are getting/have another Valk\
#2-How can the Tourer be a "better bike"....? confused on this one, if you take the fairing/trunk off the I/S, you have a tourer with more power.....

Different timing to allow power delivery at different rpms....sorry, not "more power" per say.  There must be a reason why guys do I/S timing mod right....

True, My brother has a 97 tourer with IS ICM and IS carb springs and it is faster than my IS. That thing just pulls hard. But i have also heard the 97's had hotter cams then they detuned them in 98 and after. Don't know if there is any truth to this but they do have different part numbers.

Thinks for the kind words .Went to see my doc today .Not much to say ,but demonstrated the use of oiled dressings and nothing to do about the ribs. (cook them slowly) . Grin
Told the insurance that it will take a few days to decide if I ll be keeping it. It is because the all spring was spent rebuilding it. but the Beast was too aggressive in size ,though the 60 car tire did lower it some.
The 97 tourer is special machine to be treasured. angel  lol

Happy glad you two are mostly okey dokey. We as Riders KNOW it could have been much worse.  Undecided Trailer on a M/C Not all that difficult. Increase following distance turn radius and time spent passing things. I myself went down in August of 16 sans trailer. Broken left ankle and injured pride!  uglystupid2 The ankle healed. STILL wurkin on da pride thingy.  Roll Eyes Do NOT let the insurance rush you. List ALL yer farkles and unobtanium. Gittin back on after the physical healing-well in my case anywho-was--difficult. BUT I Did in FACT git back on her!  cooldude P M me if ya need too. Sort of have the been there done that thingy!  Wink RIDE SAFE.
