Very nice hotel overlooking the Potomac, Reagen Airport, with view of tops of the Capitol Building and Washington Monument.

They were having Soap Box races right by the Capitol.

I'll bet the snipers on top of the White House were going "There's Meathead, where's Baldo?" Smiley

Have a great time down there. cooldude

We went to the National Cemetery yesterday after went got here. It’s definitely a somber place. I think I’ve “seen” more history in the last

Looks like you had a great time Rob, despite the fact that I wasn’t there to help you enjoy the trip even more. Arlington National is darn impressive, have a first cousin there. On Monday the 11th, we laid to rest our youngest brother in Houston National, which is very impressive also. I think it is the second or third largest behind Arlington. SSG Robert J. Evans, 20 years US Army, we didn’t know how decorated he was as he never bragged about anything. Our nephew, Major Al Ray Sebile (ret) took care of all the details and Honor Guard coming from Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio saluting. I miss him very much.

Arlington was the one place I wish I made time for to see when visiting DC but was also the longest to walk to as well.

If into history and museums and the like,  DC is the place to be for sure.

I just hated the LONG 10 miles daily walks to and from our hotel  over the course of a week there.

Everything is within walking distance but man that HOT concrete pavement takes its toll on the feet even with good walking shoes on.

I’m sorry to hear about your brother Eli. I kept looking for you at Inzane. I guess you had good reason not to be there. Maybe next year.  Smiley
