Heard this this AM on the news (FOX). Very upsetting. Ex-navy Thai Navy Seal ran out of air on the way back. The dive takes 5 hours just to reach them. He brought then oxygen and supplies but never made it back.
It could be MONTHS before these kids an coach are rescued.

...and now another newscaster says they took the weakest first...
Oh well, regardless I'm glad they're starting and the 4 they chose to go first made it out okay, hoping the remaining get out safely as well.
(Good example of how the news, even reputable news sources, aren't always 100% correct...)

Just a note and I have noticed this for a long long time. Why do British reporters refuse to learn that SCUBA tanks are NOT oxygen tanks? They get it wrong every time.

After the dust settles, the coach needs looked at for reckless endangerment of minors, and billed the two million dollars the rescue cost.

According to morning news, boys and coach are now out. Work is that two have pneumonia and two may have some blood infection. AND they are not going to press charges against coach, because he kept them alive and gave them his food.
