Pretty bizarre triple, quad forks and all.  Maybe good for the timid learner or the old timer who still wants his knees in the breeze.  Kinda fulgy to my eyes, but unique as all get out.  Technology marches on...

Looks like it was made for a snowmobile conversion in the winter.

A trike for the timid or aged, but in a sport bike configuration?

Interesting... Not my cup of tea, looks like a Japanese Anime's vision of a hot rodded old person walker but to each their own...

Video review, but they don't show the thing until around 3:30 into the video:

I will wait for it be tested by the public and motorcycle magazines, but if still behaves like a real motorcycle, I would say this is awesome for either people with injured knees or that are getting too old.

It does look... fun.  Maybe it could be my ticket to tempt the other half to get herself behind the handlebars?  Hmmm.

Looks like he is steering into the curve, not counter-steering.
I agree, sort of ugly, but may be just what some folks would need, possible me one day.

Sort of reminds me of this bike that has been around for a couple of years.

I wonder how Yamaha came up with this idea ?

2 weeks ago I saw a group of 8 of those climbing the South side of the Stelvio pass in Italian Alps.

Probably a press group of demo ride in those hairpins.

Looked like they were having their fun.

http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/yamaha/2019-yamaha-niken-first-ride-review.html

I am not sure about older knee problem folks being comfortable on this bike with your legs more in the sport bike category position.  Also seat height of over 32 inches and front wheels do not lock at a stop and one must put a foot or two down.  It seems to me a bike for canyon carvers.

It may play well in Europe, I doubt so in North America.  I do applaud Yamaha for seeking new technologies, now just build a  bike I would love.  Hint - 1300 v star series with an inline 4 or V4.

They have said that this is NOT a bike for beginners or necessarily for older riders...it is ridden just like a motorcycle, counter steer and all. The big thing is it has 80% more grip with 2 15" 120 section tires the with 1 17" 120  section tire. I will try one when they get into dealers

Kind of fugly is an understatement IMHO but, that doesn't mean I would not take one on a test ride.
