This artist, Jon McNaughton, has made a bit of a niche for himself with his artwork...
He'd better stick to his day job.

He'd better stick to his day job. This is his day job, and he's doing quite well... His original paintings have sold in the $300,000 range, and you can buy prints for substantially less on his website. Here's where you can buy copies of "Crossing the Swamp": http://jonmcnaughton.com/crossing-the-swamp/As well as browse some of his other works: http://jonmcnaughton.com/

Well, I get an hourly wage as an aircraft mechanic, have for almost 40 years now, and I've been doing a pretty good job as an upholsterer for the last 20 years. I'm also a decent woodworker and furniture builder. (If I do say so myself) So there's that...

I'll admit the artist is very talented, it's just his subject should be portrayed as a clown. I really like the last picture of Trump and Mueller, Trump is to much of a coward to try that sh*t. Five deferments because of bone spurs my ass. Couldn't serve his country, and can't now. I would rather have the painting of the dog's playing poker on felt before that stuff. Sorry I don't agree with you Trumpites, but I am entitled to my opinion as you are with your opinions. , 1st amendment. John

What branch did Obama serve??? Was Trumps deferments illegal? Lot of guys got deferments for a lot of reasons, do you lump them all together? Haters are going to hate so your position is understandable and entitled. Now for a different view, I can’t recall any official doing more for the current military members and our veterans. I am impressed with his stamina and work ethic, he’s got several years on me and I couldn’t keep up the pace he has been on for the past year and a half. Trump actually uses one trait that has been missing in Washington for decades, common sense. Common sense is in short supply in a good portion of the country these days which makes for difficulties in people understanding what Trump is attempting to accomplish. Count me as a proud Trumpite!

As someone has mentioned I hope I would have the stamina at his age that he has. Someone I was talking to the other day said Trump was an awesome athlete and a great tennis player. I dont know about it but what I do know is growth at 4.1 and the middle class is finally getting some help and the swamp is being drained.
It seems no one is talking about the treasonous hijack of the elections, that if Hillary had won we never would have heard anything. Why, is my question since that is only the tip of the iceberg. I really don't even hear Hillary supporters addressing this issue at all either. Why would someone still support someone proved to be a traitor to the ideals of this country?
Also if the Clinton foundation was a bastion of good will why did it close after she lost the election? Many good will organizations have gone on without the leaders personal position being a factor.

I am planning on buying the "Crossing the Swamp" print. Go ahead, say something snide about it, I don't care. Here's the funny thing: I don't care much for Trump as a person. Even before the primaries I had said, "He's an asshole, but maybe what this country needs, is an asshole." Even the very day I voted in the primaries, I was still undecided. But, I'm happy with my choice. I just wish people would quit manufacturing reasons to hate him, and get behind all of the good he is doing. I don't like him as a person, and his morals are iffy, at best. But, I do feel he is the right man for the job to fix what the previous 8 years messed up (high unemployment, record numbers on welfare, a dying economy). The people who follow Obama are so blinded, so obsessively faithful (in my opinion), that they will attack anyone who supports getting rid of a "legacy" that nearly destroyed our economy, just so they can hold onto the "dream" just a little longer.

“Ridiculous”. I find the paintings humorous. I also find Trump navigating the swamp as important to the country as Washington’s contribution. We are in that critical of a moment in time. And it’s not because of a love affair with Trump, any other person who would have come forward with his agenda would have my full support. Put another way, I would have been Obama’s biggest supporter if he had put forth the policies coming out of the Trump administration. People hate Trump but can’t give rational reasons why.

If he is actually successful at draining the swamp, cutting out all the corruption in DC, then he would be their equal in my eyes. I don't think he will be, the corruption is too deeply entrenched and is striking out at him trying to destroy him, but if he manages to pull it off then yes. I do admire him for at least trying, regardless of if he's successful or not.

Make America Great Againitis Love of country syndrome I have little room to judge others morals. But my issue with his has nothing to do with "raw-dogging" pornstars (whatever that is) , it has more to do with the way he has treated his wives, his housing discrimination towards blacks, his disrespect towards veterans when he himself refused to serve, his unpatriotic deference towards Putin. To equate this President with any other presidents is shameful. For many to set this aside because they got tax cuts, a Supreme Court Justice of their liking that they desired is very short sighted.

I have nothing snide to say about your purchase. Do you feel he is equal to Washington or Superman ? You do realize that Superman is a fictional character, right? But what’s with the beard? I’ve never seen Superman or Trump with a beard! Yes, I realize that You do realize it was a member who equated him to a fictional superhero who had no flaws and was so completely moral he wouldn't even "raw-dog" Lois Lane ? Short sighted???!!! If Trump slept the rest of his term, his Supreme Court picks has made his Presidency a huge success! Only time will prove me right or wrong but I am confident.
