If I had the room I would pick one up. Just moved into fiance's house and no more garage space.

Dallas Honda has 'em for $8999, brand new. I've heard some dealerships are even trying to move 'em at $7999...

I'm all full up, but man that's tempting.

Any leads on those dealers selling at $7999, I've searched and can't find one. I'd buy one tomorrow if I could find one. Preferably in the S.E.

I saw the post in one of the Valkyrie Facebook groups, but intentionally didn't look too closely for fear I'd be adding a 3rd Valkyrie to the stable if I did... I'll keep an eye out and if I see it again I'll relay the info, being careful to not accidentally buy one myself... Wink

Getting closer to me. It's going to be a waiting game. Maybe they'll get snapped up near me before they hit the $8,000 mark. Maybe they wont.

I'm going to call Lawrenceville Honda to see what they can offer  Cheesy

EDIT They appear to have gone Tango Uniform.

I bought a 2015 a few weeks ago for less then $10,000. A few dealers I checked with that had them for $8999. But with setup and paper work fees it was about $9900. I did a littler better than that. Great bike at that price.

I sent a message to one of the dealers in in Alabama with one listed for $7999. Asked them if that is their OTD price. If so I will snatch one up. I figure I am out of State so I'll take care of my Tax, Tags and title myself. I ain't gonna pay dealer freight and prep on a 4 year old bike. Unless that bike left the factory and was just shipped out, those fees were written of a long time ago. We'll see what they say.

Hard to believe you can get a bike with that Goldwing motor for under $8K out of the crate.  I've always been a used bike and car buy.  Never wanting to pay the initial depreciation.  Heck there will be no initial depreciation at those prices.  If the prices are that good now what will they be in the middle of the Winter.  Would seem there would be a bottom price they can sell them at.

dealers have to pay insurance for every vehicle in their possession. so they will balance that out with their cost for the vehicle, esp when they want to get rid of an unpopular non-selling vehicle. end of month is good time to buy since they don't want to pay insurance for the coming month. I sold cars briefly and this was how it worked back then.

Whether I like this version is not a consideration in this post.

Ask yourself why these bikes are priced where they are.....

There's a reason ya know.   They didn't and aren't selling.   For what ever reason.

I'd only consider buying one if I intended to keep it long term cause if you're planning on getting it as an investment, it won't be a money maker.     They will obviously out run and out handle our old fat girls but, that doesn't mean they will hold their value.   They haven't done that while in the showroom.

If they take off the tax, tags and title, their OTD price to me is $9500. According to the guy that called me that is for the uncrating and shipping and stuff. Why do they advertise a price of $7999 when they know it is not the price?? It ought to be like Wal-Mart, if the sign says 7999 it's 7999. I would have bought it this week.

They advertise it at 7999 to get you in the door.
Before I bought mine I called the dealer's in Wis who advertised at 8999 and they didn't what to tell me the real price over the phone or only tell me setup cost but not paperwork cost. They were not happy when I left.
I bought at a dealer that charged me $98 over the asking price. Which was a few hundred less then the others.

These are all scam pricing (IMHO).

The fine print from Waynesville:
All major unit prices plus tax, doc, license, freight, setup.
Freight and setup includes but is not limited to freight, service, overhead and dealer profit.

So they can just arbitrarily add some dealer profit on to the price... like I said, what a scam.

I remember back in the 80's friends of mine from the Upstate of SC
went to Rockingham to get their Magnas... best prices anywhere around...

Perhaps $9,500 is the legit low price at this point...

that one in IL that Serk posted said ADD 400 if a 'cash' deal onto that 7999.  guessing they want you to finance thru them making even more moola...

Good luck finding a dealer at 7999 with no hidden fees, will not happen.

I cringe everytime I look at new vehicles and ask what the dealer service fee is for use to be 89 bucks long time ago now upwards of 299.  For what??  Filing paperwork, give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I refused a good deal otherwise on a new car at local dealer since 299 was not going to pay for service fee, screw that.
