The truth is that you still believe after all this that Hillary is a good person did nothing wrong and should have been elected, that alone gives me comfort in my misery, and despair of those that pity me.

I have in my lifetime seen great men both of industry and government and wondered if the US is such a great country and we have such great men running it why are we in such a mess now?

It has been a most interesting discovery for a person that was not really interested in history. If you dont know the answers then you are the one to be pitied. So since you still believe in Hillary, we know you have not one clue.

Podesta above is a great example of a good show but bad morals. He was accepted by the Clinton's and many more as someone to be around a mover and shaker and yet he in his heart was as black as they come. NO one said a word, no leader, no one in authority and yet he was committing crimes frequently and destroying lives. Yet not a word was spoken, was that on purpose or was it just a good front.

Those are the questions that someone one day decided to look into on Podesta. Everything looks good till it doesn't in Washington then no one takes the blame. But a normal person would have their life investigated and checked and thrown in jail at the first sign of this kind of stuff. I personally believe that same scrutiny that is applied to us should be applied to them. Lets face it also Harvey Wienstien was known to be a pervert yet no one said anything or if they did it was blocked out. 

So how much more dont we know about that has happened in Washington?

Unfortunately, this grammar rule isn’t universal. In Britain, sometimes everyone and everybody are considered plural pronouns. The recommendation here assumes you’ve made landfall on the American side of the Atlantic.

I can accept that, Reb.  Everyone should be considered plural on both sides of the Atlantic. Each and everyone is never proper but each and every one would be.  To quote a small part of your article:

I'm glad that everyone at my birthday party enjoyed themselves, and am humbled that every one of them said nice things about me.

When reading most people's writing or hearing their speech, if I can be reasonably sure that I understand the meaning they are trying to convey, I just leave it be.  If there is a possibility of misunderstanding, I'll seek clarification.  If I'm wanting to stir the pot, I'll respond to the literal meaning of their words as if I understood a different meaning than they intended.  I use the latter tactic with my kids unless/until I start to get "the look" from my wife.

All that being said, what I understood Britman's topic heading to mean was, "I hope each and every one of those foul men die an early and unpleasant death commensurate with the suffering they've caused."

It is common to convey part of a thought with the expectation that the listener fill in the rest:  E.g. "you son-of-a...
