I hope this works. It's by a new and young country singer, Jay Allen. He wrote it about and to his mother who has Alzheimer's. Breaks my heart, every time I see it.

Brought a tear to my eye. I can't imagine what it's like.

Yes, tough to watch for me also....but worth it. Reminds me of my mother, had experienced a few small strokes that didn't seem to affect her much, just slowed her down. One night my folks, my sister, and my wife and I stopped for a late dinner at a local restaurant, after which my sister went to get their car while I stood there with my arms around mom to help steady her. She suddenly started to sink so I grabbed her to hold her up, she looked at me and it looked like one side of her face was melting off. She said "I'm sorry Johnny" and fainted....all this while I'm holding her. A few short years later she had another major event on Good Friday morning and left us early Easter morning. This video sure brought back some distant memories.

Put a few tears in my eyes too.  My mother had dementia.  It is definitely very hard to watch a parent slip farther and farther into memory loss and confusion.
