Robert,
Some pretty spectacular sunsets along Florida's west coast... I lived in Naples once upon a time, and one of my favorite pastimes was to sit on the beach in the evening and just watch Nature put on her amazing display!!! Thanks for the reminder!

Robert, those are really beautiful pictures. I have ridden most of the state of Florida, and have seen many beautiful place's. Those bugs are "blind mosquitos" they don't bite, but sure make a mess on your bike or car. You need to wash them off asap as they will mess up your paint if left to long, but I'm sure you know all about that being a Florida resident. Florida is flat but still beautiful. John

I washed the bike in the morning before I went out for the day when I got home I had to wash it again luckily I have hot water and was able to use the hot water to get most of the bugs off and then wash the bike. But I have to tell you the bugs were so thick on the windshield that it was hard to see out of it. As a couple as I was driving along hit my boot and I actually felt it thank God they didn’t hit me anywhere else lol

Once upon a long time ago BUT in this here galaxy had my big blue International washed and took a few minutes to touch up the buff on those aluminum wheels. I Had lost track of the calender and I hit Fla. smack in da middle of love bug season! They stick they stink they mess up chrome and paint and much like the fire ant WHY zackly do we need them? And B T W-nice pics! Looking back now wished I'd have had a digital camera for ALL the phantoostical sunrises and sunsets I've been blessed with from the high seat of an 18 wheeler! Also for some of the beautiful storms I was a apart of. Mother Nature puts on some shows that Should NOT be missed! RIDE SAFE.

Robert I thought you were in Delray, where were those pics taken?
Out at Lake Lake Okeechobee at one of the locks The bottom pic is looking north towards Okeechobee town, that road is the road that goes around the lake. Further north there are cattle farms, spotty residential but mostly open.

Also for some of the beautiful storms I was a apart of. Mother Nature puts on some shows that Should NOT be missed! RIDE SAFE. As I posted this I thought about that, especially since, the only occasional noise in the pics were a few trucks that were going along. It was beautifully quiet other wise and you heard a little moving of the water and the fish at the surface of the water getting a bit of dinner occasionally. There were a few white cranes walking along the edge of the water making no noise and not even a ripple in the water as they walked. The air was cool so had to put on a sweat shirt for the rest of the ride. So different from the 95 and blazing sun that had been there in the day. At one point I pulled over and stopped the bike on the side of the road but it was in the middle of the fields as far as the eye could see. Shut off the bike and no cars and it was almost magical. You could hear machinery in the distance and an occasional bird. I was not complacent enough though to totally let my gaurd down considering the road I was on had many alligators just months before
