Saw a motorcycle accident once.  The rider clipped his elbow during the get off.  The first thing the first first responder asked him was were you wearing a helmet.  The rider gave him a funny look and said, not on my elbow.

Prayers, and a speedy recovery.

No pictures, or it didn't happen.

Even Jeff showed his bullet hole, but not the healed wound.....  ???

Better every day.  I have some pain now and then.  Spent a good part of today chatting (being interviewed) with insurance persons.

The best news was no surgery and no restitching.

Bike is scratched up significantly.

Bummer...hope it's repairable...doesn't take much to total something of our bike's vintage nowadays.

Found myself laughing out loud over my shoulder medical claims when I realized I was thankful they don't evaluate US for insurance claim purposes the way they do our machines...

*looks at shoulder MRI*
"Dude, you're totaled."
"Can I at least buy myself back for salvage?"

I'm expecting they will total it but I won't let them have it.  The hard part is once they total it they won't cover for collision anymore.

When I totaled my bike, it was too far gone. Would cost more than just buying another. Frame didn't seem available (new was $1500). Now they seem to be, with titles.

If you can transfer all the parts, today I would have bought a frame ($200-$500) and have transferred the parts over.

Sorry to hear about this accident Carl. Heal quickly.  As a rider I have learned from your misfortune. More protection from now on.  I have sold my Blue and white and will more than likely purchase in February at Montreal Motorcycle Show. My thoughts are with you.

Thank you, Louis.  2004 was my first InZane.  I remember looking out that window to see both our Blue and Whites.

If you decide to keep it and it will need to be repainted anyway please consider another color other than "Unlucky Holmes Green."  Grin

LOL.  I am seriously tempted to become superstitious.  Perhaps we should hold a vote on what color the bike should become.  I lean toward a solid color, maybe midnight blue.

I love the black and red Interstates.  Maybe do a custom version of black and red, different lines than stock, that would be neat.

I'm not certain more power is needed.  It did turn out remarkably well.  I was coming up on or alongside the tonnage of two colliding automobiles and walked away with a single flesh only injury.  Had I been just a split second further down the road I would not be talking to you about it.   Smiley

I think a midnight blue metallic with dark charcoal metallic accent colored stripes like the 70's muscle cars had (much like your blue/white striped bike) would look very striking and yet subtle and classy.

There are no prestitched pictures. To give you an idea if I drew a line just below the middle knuckle of my index finger the gouge would be the same length and width and about half the depth of that portion of the finger.  It went to but didn't penetrate the bone.

I think you need to paint the bike root beer brown, but then again, Hot Rod Yellow would be more visable. 2funny

I hope your doctor was right and it heals up well. But, that is some pretty funky looking stitching.
