That Damn Trump...as a Canadian who's economy largely depends on 'Fair and Rational' trade with the USA...I look to Ottawa and I only see a preening self absorbed narcissistic trust fund wonk who's main goal is to improve "social justice" for the "Trans-Alphabet" community, but cold harsh reality dictates that Peter Pan must inevitably do battle with President Trump....[God help us].

The deal signed with Mexico...to name a few of the details...includes:
>75% of Auto Parts to be Produced in North America
>45% of Auto Parts made by Workers earning a minimum of $16.00/Hr
>Strengthens Protections of Intellectual Property
>Improves Production and Trade of Digital Products in USA

Meanwhile back at 24 Sussex drive in Ottawa...our Prime Minister is incessantly practicing the way he enters a room full of dignitaries in front of a wall sized mirror.  uglystupid2...sadly to no avail, the drama queen just shines through..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWI7ywSP9u8

You know, when I woke up on Wednesday morning November the ninth, I turned on the TV to listen to the news about how HRC had won.  When they said Trump had won it was like a great weight was lifted off me.  I told my wife, "Trump won" and we were happy.

That has not changed.  He is draining the swamp, he is making good on his promises and i am proud of that.

I have always proud to be an American, proud of the flag, proud of the way other countries responded to me when I was in the service (many years ago).  Proud of the way they respected America.

Then there was the period of 2008 - 2016 where our President went on an apology tour.  I was dis-hearted.

We are the light to the world.  Our freedoms expressed in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights stand alone as a great document for a Republic for the people and of the people and by the people. There is no other country like the United States of America.

And while some may not like our current President, he is far better than I could have wished for.  Not just because he does what he said he would do but because he stands up for us and himself.

I continue to fly the flag in my yard and under the stars and stripes is another flag with a rattle snake with a simple statement  that says "Don't Tread On Me".

I am proud of the flag that flies above that flag but stand behind the fact that all rights belong to me and anybody that tries to change it has to come through me.

That should be all of our attitudes.

seems even a lot of republican office holders and politicians are turning against Trump.    They are saying he is causing more problems than he is fixing.......just remember that one of Trumps goals is to drain the swamp of non functioning politicians and office holders......and the ones complaining are part of that swamp Trump is draining.

Trump won’t be able to drain the swamp of the politicians, the voters will ultimately have to remove them from office. Best we can hope for is that they are exposed. It has also become quite obvious that the unelected federal officials and employees are as much a problem as the politicians themselves.

Well that didn't take long. Take any swipes at the trumpster and your post gets yanked.

Outstanding. It doesn't change a thing, he's going down.

What did I miss?

Someone took umbrage to my reply to your 401 post, and it was gone, like lightning.....

sad

Baldo tends to be a bit of a whiner.  It's never his fault.  Someone is always picking on him.  Does that sound familiar to those who have been in the third grade?

Perhaps he doesn't bother reading what I post.  Perhaps he has me blocked.  Perhaps I've just not been clear in what I try to communicate.

I posted this in Alien's complaint thread just after InZane this year:

The Alien has made some very good points.  I too would prefer the handful of people who find it necessary to continually spew their political venom would cut back or shut down.  They are doing repeated damage to the community and their ability to find and retain friends here over the internet.  There was a time when I suggested we take a break from political posts and things went well until another staff member suggested that it would be just fine for people to post whatever they wished.  Back to the trash.

I have more recently began to interpret demeaning pet names for groups that include a number of VRCC members as generally disrespectful and thus in violation of the Rules of the Road.  When I see such posts they are removed along with any that bother to quote them.  We're still seeing a lot more complaining on the board than we are getting "Report to moderator" responses.  If you see something that violates the Rules of the Road click on that tab in the lower right.  It goes to all the staff.  Read over the Rules of the Road to familiarize yourself with what is forbidden.
...
Any piece of poop that refers to the duly elected President of the United States as a piece of garbage has lost any respect I might have had for his or her viewpoint.  Such a reference is an attack on the American system of government and the people of this great country.  I lost respect for the views of some during the past Executive administration and it continues, whether they voted the same as I or not.

My suggestion would be that if one wants to school the few poisonous participants of the board he should first participate for awhile setting a good example and then have something to point to to be taken seriously.

I do think we have an issue to address but I don't believe that limiting the subject matters allowed on the General Board is necessarily the answer.  One thing that might help is for a few of us to grow up and learn to deal with others respectfully.  That is true of both sides of the arguments.

Let each of us take on the intention of being one of the good guys instead of justifying our bad behavior by examples of others' bad behavior.

If you wish to read the whole thread it's here:  Alien's Thread

The Rules of the Road call for respectful communication.  I have for some time interpreted referring to someone supported by a percentage of this board's members by a demeaning or ridiculing name as disrespectful communication.  The duly elected President certainly is within that group.  I have tried to be fair in applying this practice.  I've removed several posts that refer to the hildabeast and other such references.  I probably don't catch everything.

Honestly, sometimes I just get weary of it and that from both (or all) sides.  There are many of us, perhaps including myself, that would do well to study up on how to communicate respectfully.

I skipped 3rd grade in NYS public schools because I could read and write (including cursive)

Since they apparently only taught whining there I am glad I missed it

There is a difference between grumbling and whining right?

Speaking of my ole buddy Trump, I saw today he was doing a photo op with a bunch of little kids, and they were coloring. Well Trump's flag he had colored had one red stripe, and one blue stripe. I thought he was the flag guy. Teaching a bunch of little kids the wrong color of our flag?
I wont post were I got it because most of you would not look at it, but you can find it if you look. I thought it was kind of funny. Smiley
John

WHO FREEKING CARES. Holy crap you liberals bitch about the stupidest stuff. Where was your outrage when Obama said we had 57 states? Give me a break. Besides if the left has their way kids in the future won't know what color the flag is because it wont be here anymore, since to some liberals it is a symbol of hate.

Remember Bush's 7 minutes?  They got 7 years of mileage out of it even though nothing was ever proven that anything happened within those 7 minutes that affected anything that day or any day since.

With Trump, they find a 7 minute thingy everyday.  An absolute NOTHING that they exploit into something, that the brainwashed can latch on to.  This time, a misplaced blue squiggley line.

Show's THEIR true colors.  Hey, I have a color for you..... how about a pink hat?

We're unclear on the salsa.  Is that only mild or does it include medium and hot?  Are the chips thin or thick?  Details are important.   Wink

Actually it was a terrible deal. According to my sources, unnamed of course, Mexico was willing to add unlimited Kegs of Dos Equis and a 750ml bottle of Jose Cuervo for everyone.

I gotta disagree, I've seen the Dos Equis factory, I think we're better off without it...

And Jose Cuervo ain't much better, 51% Agave swill! *Spits on the ground in contempt*

I just dont get why liberals want him to fail. I could not stand Obama but I never wanted him to fail. Failing means the country as a whole fails. I guess you liberals like being failures? But that is ok because if he gets impeached we get Pence. Win for everyone  cooldude

I remember at the very beginning of Obama's turn, there were those who wanted him to fail (I believe Rush Limbaugh was one) and there was also a congressmen or a senator (forget which one he was) who stated it was his mission to make him a one term president.

The  s h i t  in the swamp is thick and deep.

While on a bit smaller scale I've already been thru something similar here in Missouri. They-whoever "they" are went after a Duly Legally Elected Gov. And when the pressure got to be too much Gov. Greitens-while Duly and Legally Elected to that office stepped down. As SOON as he resigned we have NOT heard another word on the "evidence" "they" had. I am relatively Certain that POTUS Trump is Aware of what happened here in Missouri. Supposedly "they" had "proof" but as I recall "they" only presented allegations and as far as I am aware NO hard "proof" of the allegations. Being as Former Gov Greitens Is a Republican in the back of my mind I can't shake the feeling that Missouri WAS/IS a test run. RIDE SAFE.
