Ron is home! Said he just hobbled in, told him that sounded better than being rolled in.

Just reading this for the first time. Prayers for you recovery, hope all works out well. Just make sure you follow those instructions from the Dr so you heal properly.

Anytime you go down on a bike could be a bad things, its nice that you got back up. Now just heal and let life take care of itself.

I want to thank each and every person who responded to this thread in one way or another.   It warms my heart.    Thank you for all the get well wishes, prayers, calls and texts.

A special thank you to those two who were actually able and made the effort to come visit me.    Won't lie about it.    Hospitals suck and I was hurting.     Those cards, wishes and visits were something to hold on to.    Special thanks to Willow and O2S.    I can't tell you how much those visits meant.

Still only have full use of four fingers on my right hand so typing this ain't easy.     The left side of me is so burgered up or broke bones, it is useless.   But that will change with another surgery and time.

Have been having a bit of fun with this.   Just went by my primary care doc's office.    I hobbled in.   The receptionist who knows me didn't recognize me.   My nose is rubbed raw.     She asked what happened and I told her in a very low voice that I would no longer complain about my wife's cooking.    2funny

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.   smitten

Real glad to hear that you're ambulatory, Ron. That sounds like an experience of a lifetime. Best wishes for you to get through this and back in the saddle.

LOL at the wife's cooking.......

An online pic of Ron is a rare thing, I’m not sure why he doesn’t want to be found. Grin  Some time back there was a group pic on here of a get together that included both Ron and Charlie (Landelephant) and I hardly recognized either of them as they had lost so much weight since I had seen them in person. Don’t remember who had posted it so I don’t know how to find it now.

Those were the pictures I remembered. Said another silent prayer for Charlie upon seeing them. Life is short and friends precious.

Ron, no wonder I didn't see you at Billings Inzane!  You've lost weight and grown a beard!  Next time we're at the same place, am I gonna have to remember what you look like in the pics posted above, then expect to see a shorter nose due to your current adventure?  coolsmiley
