Wow that is awesome I had wondered why some cars sounded better and that was the secret. Really enjoyed that and learned something I didn't know.   cooldude

I have to check out the Aston Martins cranks since they sound like a Formula 1 car when they get going. At idle they are quiet and subdued but hit the gas and that's when the magic starts.

Turn the sound up and enjoy the video

I thought it was awesome when Ford brought out the Voodoo motor in 2016. Nothing sounds better than a flat plane V8 IMHO. And in a production car? SOMEDAY I hope to have one in my toybox.

I thought all of the new Ford 5.0 motors use flatplane cranks.

I did too but it appears that’s not the case. I know the new coyote engines seem to have a very distinctive sound too. I can’t say I’ve ever heard the new flat plane crank motors if they only come in  those limited models.

What was the wet spot under the front of the car after he left?

No, Just the Voodoo motor family, not the Coyote family.
