Many of us were riding SR 16 between Tazewell and Marion long before it had a name, it was a well kept secret for many years.

I'm glad that it is being promoted now, it is becomming very popular and is generating some revenue for local business'.

I'm in Tazewell often for work and like it there.

There are several good restaurants in Tazewell.

The brewery https://www.paintedpeakbrewing.com/home has a good selection of beer and some really good food.

A decent hotel in Tazewell would be a big improvement.

We ran across "The Back of the Dragon" by accident on one of trips through VA and WV several years ago.  I was surprised when I saw the sign.  No one really talked about it on the "boards" until recently.

It was a very nice ride.  I will ride it again and try and make sure others know about it as well.

I avoid the "Tail of the Dragon".  Way to many over zealous riders on that road today.  Did not have that problem on this road.  Hope it stays that way.

It will stay that way UNTIL you tell enough people about it.

I don't see it getting as busy or as crazy as the Back of The Dragon, but it is definitely becoming popular.

Was on a ride on 16 that got cut short because a real jerk went down many years ago.  It put a damper on a terrific day with great people.

It is one of those rides that I want to take all the way through next time I am down by Don and Tracy's piece of Virginia

Are you suggesting I should not tell anyone about the road?  You known inquiring minds, ect.

Not at all just saying the more people know the more crowed it will get. I have ridden it many times. Sometimes not passing a single vehicle car or MC. And other times pass 50-60 bikes and several cars.

I rode it during Inzane.  It is a great road.  Keep an eye out for sand in the corners and for deer.  A couple of us slid out in one of the corners because of sand on the road and we had a couple of close encounters with deer.
