The rain was sposed to hold off til this evening-sposed to.  Lips Sealed Heavt overcast when I left bout noonish. Headed out on Mo-76 west til I got to Mo-181 south and stayed on Mo-181 til it ended at U S 160 at Gainesville Mo. Right around Hodgsosns Mill on Mo-181 the rain started while light in nature it was indeed rain. My .380 generally rides in the pocket of my jeans and there is NO Safe place to pull over to readjust stuff to keep it dry-from W/S pouch to saddle bags. Made it alright to the handi mart on the south side of the highway at Gainesville and under there canopy. Readjust "stuff" shades put away clear goggles out plastic bag for O2 regulator and looking at the radar on the phone and NO matter which way I go-Mo-5 north or U S 160 East I'm gonna git wet.  Undecided 5 is just too cursed straight and folks are complacent on straight highways. U S 160 east gits the nod. Made West Plains with NO trouble put in a couple gallons of fuel and headed on to my casa. 115 miles and the rain was NOT cold just irksome. BUT on da udder hand Phatt Ghurl is filthy-Again!  Cry BUT on the udder GOOD hand I DID git a ride in!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

riding in rain, at least for me, is NO fun at all.  Even with a somewhat dirty/dusty cycle,  rain really makes the I/S look ugly dirty especially black and chrome.  I have not washed my I/S or tourer once all summer long usually do a quick cleaning (1-2 hours) 2-3 times a riding season.  Only thing I did once is clean the front windshield/fairing of both bikes since was unable to see out the windshield way too many bug splats.

Now and then my loving wife mentions what the weather was "supposed" to do.  I normally reply with, "Sweetheart, they predict the weather.  They don't schedule it."

Not so, Dennis.  If it rains and the weatherman gave you a 10% chance he's right.  If it doesn't rain and he gave you a 10% chance he's still right.  The only time a weatherman can be wrong regarding rain is when he's overconfident and gives a zero or 100 percent chance.
