I've seen the videos and photos of the destruction and my heart goes out to every single person down there. I'm not a rich guy by any means but if I hit the power ball I'd be down there in a minute with heavy equipment, food, water, generators, fuel and some type of temp housing.

After seeing what Sandy did to the Jersey area along with other storms throughout the years I wish you all the best. It's going to be a long hard row to hoe along with who know what type to new building codes will be required. Good luck with FEMA, the insurance companies and whatever other reviews tape will be involved along the way.

Best of wishes to all....

The destruction is overwhelming. It's going to take years and these cities will never be the same again. History just lost in an instant.  People actually stayed in place in Mexico Beach.  The bodys will be stacking up   Cry

Yeah it's incredible and heartbreaking. How are you holding up over there cuz you're like 30 40 miles west isn't it? Were you spared property damage?

Ya we were just far enough West to be spared.  Just some small limbs down.  Blessed!

UPDATE: Well my 83 yr old dad and mom were w/o power from Wed. thru this Sat. evening. I couldn't get there because the I-10 H'way was closed for 24hrs. Then there were trees all along the city streets so couldn't get there until Sat. AM. Took my generator and supplies. Few repairs nothing serious but lots of debris on the property to cut up. Left this after noon at 2:30. My mom calls at 6:30 ...... POWER IS ON....... POWER IS ON smitten I was happy to hear that for them. The area is coming back, they are 100 miles away from GZ at Panama Cit-- Mexico Beach where Michael entered the Pan-handle. Prayers for  those west of Tallahassee to Defuniack Springs, SE AL, SW GA with some sever wind damage. Undecided
