Can't we just applaud an accomplishment by President Trump without dragging in talk of a pat executive?  Let it go, guys.  He's out of office and he was not able to bring those he supported into Washington.

Way to go, President Trump and the Republicans in Congress.    cooldude

Now if we can get those who gave up looking for work or just plain don't want to work back in to the work force.  Those are not counted in the unemployment rate.  Then we can actually celebrate a low unemployment rate.  Just saying.

That would be very easy to do. Put limits and caps on welfare programs, Medicaid, section 8, EBT and every other handout program you want to add. Make those programs a helping hand instead of a handout, like they are supposed to be.
Stop allowing people to collect SS disability because they are fat and lazy, drink too much, do drugs, your back hurts, are depressed and don't feel good, these are not real reasons to be on disability, get a job.
You need a helping hand?? These programs should be available on a short term basis, say 6 months, after that you are not eligible to apply again for 5yrs, get a job.
Stop rewarding young girls for getting pregnant, then give them more if they get pregnant again, get a job. You want kids, be able to afford those kids, I'm tired of supporting lazy snugglers and the next generation of lazy snugglers they are breeding.

The U6 Unemployment Rate (I.E. The "Real Unemployment rate) has fallen even faster than the U3 Unemployment Rate (I.E. The generic unemployment rate you always hear referred to)

I'm with you (all the way).  Built in cradle to grave (now multi-generational) welfare is BS on the backs of all those who work and pay taxes.  (And a rock solid part of the long-term left-wing vote buying program.)

The part you left out, is the extremely high percentage of members of this culture who occupy our giant prison system (and do a lot of terrible things to get that membership).  And of course, we pay for that too.   The fee to cover the average cost of incarceration for Federal inmates in Fiscal Year 2015 was $31,977.65 each ($87.61 per day)  State prison total costs ran $42,883,537,590 in 2015.

I've always thought that we should fence off a good portion on interior Alaska, and just leave the prisoners in there to survive with their wits and ingenuity. That first winter could be one heck of a winnowing process.

Maybe it's because people have finally found out what a pain in the ass it is to be on unenjoyment.
