We are here from the Government to help you. Worthless bunch of idiots.
Today is Medicare enrollment day. I go to the web site. Enter my zip code, enter which county and click FIND PLANS. Which takes me right back to the zip code and county. And some want these f wits to be in charge of a national health care system.
The longer way is to enter my zip code, name, DoB and Medicare number. I do this and am told there's no record of my Medicare number. The bastards sent me a new card with the new Medicare number on. Bunch of worthless tax money sucking idiots.

I can't even register an account using the Medicare number the slack jawed droolers supplied. None of the web sites has a help phone number. Whoever set this crap up should be fired and all benefits and pensions stripped immediately.
Medicare # is 800-633-422
And it's 15 minutes wait time to talk to a human being. Useless plonkers.
Took 20 minutes.
Spoke with a very nice young woman who had no idea why my Medicare # wasn't being accepted. Now I get to call Medicare IT to try to find an answer. 877-607-9663
As useful as tits on a boar. Not able to help. All this crap paid for by tax payers.

In a related matter, there's this small thing:
I have no middle name; all my life, I am Jesse J.
In hundreds of forms and applications and security clearances over my lifetime, in the blanks for middle names, I have used NMI (no middle initial) or NMN (no middle name), or NONE.
So I signed up for medicare at 65 this year, and my new card comes with my new name Jesse None J.
I call Medicare, and they tell me it's Social Security's fault, and they can't help me.
I still have my original Social Security card from age 15; It is J J, with no middle name. I have never had a middle name. But now I do. I refuse to waste my time fighting city hall trying to fix it. It may come back to haunt me, and I'll jump off that bridge when I get to it.
So I ask you, what sh!t for brains govt employee sees my form, and decides I must have meant my middle name was NONE?
Sorry for your troubles Paul.

I'll try Firefox as a browser and see it that makes a difference. Was using Chrome, one of the MOST POPULAR browsers in the USA. ------ Using Firefox doesn't help either. What a crock of crap. Some think that bigger Government is better. What have they been smoking to destroy so many brain cells? ---- Now back on hold with the Medican't IT again ----- You can't make this poop up. Phone answered by a woman with a chronic stammer. I had to just hang up. ------ The f wit who eventually answered the IT phone told me to call the main number. ----- Back on hold again with an estimated wait time of 15 minutes. ----- If it was a private company it would have gone out of business. It really illustrates how inept Government has become. So far about 80 minutes of wasted time.

Un F'ing Believable.
I was told to use my OLD Medicare number with no dashes and that worked.
So why was there a big advertising campaign about the new cards being distributed with new numbers if the NEW number doesn't Trucking work?

same here Jess, plus I am legally a Junior, right on my birth certificate. took navy HR computers almost 20 yrs to accept that. the travel system including airlines added jr to my last name with no space. so I had a new last name. was still that way when I retired 2 yrs ago.

Some one dropped the ball for sure, I was issued a new card and card number in January, (They removed the S.S. number from the card) Was told to destroy old card. While trying to get a flu shot last weekend, I was told there was no record of my card on the computer, I gave them my S.S. and it went through. W.T.H.

The left hand Not KNOW what the right hand be doin and SAD Too say-vice versa. I wuz given a middle name at birth. I reckon Mom and Dad KNEW something. While the V A is somewhat better my I D card # IS my S S # BUT they only want the last 4 when I check in. I just filled out a card for more medicare info to be sent to me. I did NOT include my phone # nor my E-mail addy as requested. We shall see how far dat goes. And I did NOT leave the info I sent uncovered. Think postcard. RIDE SAFE.

Jess......I have already been through the Social Security problems getting mine started. I'm 68. You really need to get all those aliases lined out as I think that if you have been paying into SS under different names that THAT is going to be a big problem for ya getting your SS ck.

Well now my SS (retirement, from 62) and G pension (from earlier) keep on going to my established direct deposit accounts. If that stopped, I'd be raising hell. What I am not going to do (and just what I would expect of them) is to have to take my birth certificate over to my local SS office (take a number and wait all day). They can KMA. I don't have to prove who I am, I know who I am. I don't have any aliases... except the one they gave me. If I go for medical and hand over my medicare card (for which they take money out of my SS), I'll be whoever they want me to be.
